Trump vaults to 49 per cent approval rating among likely voters

First statement, a form of argumentum ad antiquitatem. The fallacy that because they were the most accurate then always makes them the most accurate. In the vernacular, a bullshit argument.

The second, argumentum ad nauseam
In other words, I don't like their poll results so will rubbish it as best I can.

rasmussen was the most accurate poll in the 2016 election. Does that mean anything to you?

It's "right wing" in part because it samples likely voters, which will obviously skew more conservative than polls of americans or "registered voters"

but the more important point is that it was the most accurate poll in the 2016 election. Did I mention that already?

That's rather low life changing that post. Come on man, you're a mod.

And they still called it for Hillary just like all the rest of the majors.

Yes thanks for the heads up, this is a fascinating article from their website, apparently they like to catch fog as well

Article is incorrect, it's major premise which it implies quite directly, is that this memo is the work of the Committee, it is not, it is strictly Nunes"s interpretation of the thousands of documents in front of Committee, it is not a Committee report, it is a Nunes memo.
Given that the documents are classified and unavailable or everyone to read, we are being asked to take Nunes's word on it, Nunes, the same Nunes who worked on the Trump transition team and was caught in his twilight Uber rides to the White House

If there was a reason for what he sees as an excessive media's coverage it is to show the memo for what it is, a heavily partisan political document, in other words, their job. The extra bit on Ryan and Kelly is humorous, is that author too naive to recognize that they are politicians

Fogcatcher I'm going help you out here, when you go to polls the only real measurement is what Real Clear politics offers,

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/

It is a conservative site accepted by both orientations because it offers a view of various polls, the Razzy does lean heavy right, and all Presidents get a bump with SOTU addresses, besides, when your favorability numbers are as low as this President you are bound to show bumps every now or then

RCP shows three polls besides Rasmussen that have him between 43 and 45 within the last week......

exactly.. look at the trending, and look at the number of polls that support that trend.

Maybe Trump has learned to STFU and quit stepping on his own good news?
Just in time for the mid terms.Because the Dems have absolutely nothing - no ideas whatsover to challenge MAGA
