U.S. President Donald Trump told the New York Post that he would not rule out sending American troops into Iran “if they were necessary.”

“I don’t care about polling,” he said.

“I don’t have the yips with respect to boots on the ground. Like every president says, ‘There will be no boots on the ground.’ I don’t say it,” the president said. “I say ‘probably don’t need them,’ ‘if they were necessary.'”

Why would President Trump openly rule out ground troops? That would be a STUPID thing to say. You don't openly share your plans like that.

Good. He isn't limiting his options, telegraphing to his enemies--to include much of the US MSM and Democrat(ic) Party--what his intentions are, or selling short on the outcome.

Only a fucking moron would argue that a commander in war would readily and openly agree to tie his hands when it comes to how the fighting will go.
