Seriously, do you really believe that he was not pushing Comey’s prosecution?

If you admit he did, are you cool with that?
 
I am not cool with it, and I believe I stated so. I think both sides did it, he's just politically inept and doesn't see a need for plausible deniability.

I imagine Trump did pressure the DOJ. It is an agency that reports to the Executive Branch.

I am not in agreement with people like Comey that the DOJ is a separate entity. I agree with the constitution that we have three separate but equal branches, not four. Congress is the separate branch that investigates executive branch wrongdoing.

Two republican prosecutors refused to prosecute Comey!

you don't demand prosecutions, but you can demand investigations.

an impartial grand jury decides if we prosecute

So if Kennedy did that, it makes what Trump did to the former director of the FBI okay?

Trump fired two republican prosecutors because they said the case was not there.

Bill Barr said he refused Trumps demands because there was not enough.

You have 3 professional prosecutors refusing to prosecute Comey due to lack of a case!

it is ok because the DOJ works for the guy we elect. we don't want a deep state of unelected and unaccountable people with power to ignore the three branches.


you are not making a very good case - but I have demonstrated that this has been happening for a long, long time

It’s a legal defense, called selective prosecution. It is also a Tort, called malicious prosecution.

They will gaslight and claim trump had nothing to do with it - and yes! They're cool with it.
