Donald Trump’s job approval rating has plummeted, tying the lowest point of his presidency, following last week’s mob attack on the U.S. Capitol.

In a new Quinnipiac University poll released Monday, 33% of American voters said they approve how Trump is handling his job, a dramatic drop of 11 percentage points since December when 44% said they approved of his job performance. Sixty percent of voters disapprove of his job performance.

Overplayed his hand.

Yeah. Four hundred thousand dead people have a lot of relatives, extended families and sympathizers.

Hello Cinnabar,

The sad part is there are still 33% who approve of his job performance.

It represents a failure of our educational system.

Keep in mind that they are in the process of becoming a fringe group. The insurrection at the Capitol the other day nailed their coffin

"60% of the poll’s respondents said Trump is undermining democracy ... Among Republican voters, 73% said Trump is protecting democracy."

Wow, some of those Republicans must have flunked kindergarten!

No...if Biden does not put policies in place that actually help the average American, there will be more. Some very ignorant and stupid people who are not typical Trump racists are just desperate, disenfranchised and screwed over by both corrupt corporate bought parties. I call them ignorant and stupid because they believed Trump was the answer.

His RCP average of major polls just fell below 40% approval.

Currently 39.4%.

Amazing what it took to get it down there.

Hello cawacko,

A smarter nation would have been better able to see through Trump's con.

Think about that then the next time you hear people argue for the educational status quo and fight against school choice and/or the complete revamping of our education system.

Hello cawacko,

'School choice' is a misnomer. It purports to be about freedom. What it is really about is defunding and kneecapping public schools so that profiteers can pocket government education money.

It is only logical that a public service costs more if all the same expenses are encountered by a private system as a public one, except in one case somebody also has to make a profit and that profit is added to all the other expenses, creating a larger total cost for the private system.

Charter schools are public schools that are given the freedom to be creative with content and teaching styles. If you don't like the current results of our education system, which you just stated you don't, then quit fighting to maintain our mid 20th century one size fits all top down model. You're basically saying I don't like the results but I don't want change either.

Oh, I want change, but that would have to come from Republicans since they control most of the States and thus most of the education system. That it is performing poorly is a reflection on them. There is no inherent reason that a public system can't do well. It certainly does in other countries who out-educate us with their public systems.

And that is not by mistake. Republicans know that if voters were smarter they would probably not be getting as many votes. After all, Trump himself said he likes the uneducated. We know why. They are easier to con.
