Trump's budget cuts and staff cuts at National Weather Service

Reading the news this morning Trump wants MORE cuts to the NWS and the military is stopping giving NOAA weather info they gather.
Putting people more at risk .
And the people of FLA and the Gulf coast are getting worried they will not get important info of where a Hurricane is going to hit and that could cause more deaths .
Well this is what they voted for now that they are getting what they wanted they are starting to cry.
Trump does NOT care.
The MAGAt Congress won't stop him. They'll continue to let Trump move money from public services into private pockets until thousands of Americans die in a disaster.

The local weather office was fully staffed!
^^ Three months ago this MAGA moron was cheering wildly :cheer: at the prospect of DOGE mass firing federal employees and gutting federal agencies.

Suddenly, 72 hours after 51 people drowned, this MAGA moron wants the board to believe he and Trump have always been committed to a fully staffed and well-funded National Weather Service.

This issue is not necessarily if NWS had a full staff at the local field office. The issue being raised is that you and Trump got rid of the most senior and experienced staff who were responsible for coordinating with local emergency managers.

Let the deaths from a sever hurricane begin.
IMO it may not be too far off.

Debate erupts over weather forecasts for deadly Texas floods and adequate staffing

Questions remain about the level of coordination and communication between NWS and local officials on the night of the disaster.

The Trump administration has cut hundreds of jobs at NWS, with staffing down by at least 20% at nearly half of the 122 NWS field offices nationally and at least a half dozen no longer staffed 24 hours a day.

Hundreds more experienced forecasters and senior managers were encouraged to retire early.

The White House also has proposed slashing its parent agency’s budget by 27% and eliminating federal research centers focused on studying the world’s weather, climate and oceans.

As Floods Hit, Key Roles Were Vacant at Weather Service Offices in Texas

The staffing shortages suggested a separate problem, those former officials said — the loss of experienced people who would typically have helped communicate with local authorities in the hours after flash flood warnings were issued overnight.

BULLSHIT
The Weather Service had EXTRA staffers

When Trump got rid of a lot of the most senior and experienced people at National Weather Service, he caused NWS to lose a lot of institutional knowledge and administrative knowledge.
In the end, the flood warning went out 3 hours before the flood happened. That seems perfectly reasonable and is enough time to allow people to take action.

How stupid can you dumbasses get? Sincere question, you all seem to be getting dumber with each passing day, you'll believe anything, thank God you dumbasses have no power.

All JPP MAGAts are hypocrites and liars. Most are demented and/or brain damaged. They cannot be reasoned with, only pitied.

Agreed 100%. The MAGAts are rolling the dice on American lives. That's not just hubris, but blind idiocy.

"There is just no substitute for sound, thorough preparation to avoid or cope with foreseeable misfortune. People who drive straddling the center line can get around a few curves, but sooner or later, they’re going to meet a Kenworth coming the other way. That’s not predictable, it’s inevitable." - Stephen Coonts

Such wishful thinking is so sad...
I NEVER WISHED any harm to anybody you fucking MORON.
The FACT is not only has Trump cut the NWS but NOW he isn't letting the Military share info on Hurricanes , Where they are headed, how strong they are NOTHING and it is these actions that are going to get a lot of people hurt and some killed.

Three hours isn't sufficient, as we tragically found out.
It was the middle of the night, many people were asleep, thousands of people camp out all up and down the Guadalupe river, and there's probably hundreds of residences along the river.

Texas doesn't seem to have wanted to spend the money on a regional warning system, and three hours wasn't sufficient for first responders to reach thousands of people scattered up and down the river.

That's exactly what you're doing... You are making predictions and wishing for tragedy without any real proof...

New York Times reports vacancies in key NWS positions

According to the New York Times, the NWS offices closest to the flooding have vacancies in key managerial positions in charge of maintaining coordination and communication with local emergency managers.
The vacancies were in months meteorologist positions:

Tom Fahy, the legislative director for the National Weather Service Employees Organization, a union that represents government employees, said the San Antonio weather forecasting office did not have two of its top positions filled — a permanent science officer (a role that conducts training and is in charge of implementing new technology) or a warning coordination meteorologist (who coordinates with the media and is the public face of the office), though there are employees acting in those leadership roles. Overall, Fahy said, the offices had enough meteorologists to respond to the event.

Well it is obvious these cuts and not letting the military share IMPORTANT info with NOAA and the NWS are going to cause people to get hurt and some killed.
NOT letting people know where a hurricane is going to hit, where it is headed isn't a good idea this IS important info people NEED to know so they can take persuasions and either get out of that area or if they want hunker down and have food water and other necessities.
And why don't you read some of the links I posted about how these cuts may effect FLA and the gulf coast, YOU might actually learn something for a change.

The Trunt is a Troll. Ignore her and let her drink herself to death. It would raise the neighborhood IQ.

Feel free to DM me for a mailing address if you want to send her some liquor money. LOL
