You make a very good point. I stand corrected. My point is simply this:
Bunker had limited education and strong bigoted opinions. That said, he was a decent family provider. To my knowledge, he didnt pathologically lie; steal or cheat on his wife. As such, he was simply a comic character to laugh at. Unlike tRump who seemingly has no good qualities that can readily be found.

Exactly! In a nutshell, Bunker was not somebody to be taken seriously.

That is so true. Morally, the character Archie Bunker is miles above DT. AB meant no harm. He loved his family. IT was funny when the Jeffersons moved in next door. Archie was always on the spot, sticking his foot in his mouth. Archie was all alone in his views. His wife, daughter and son in law all disagreed with him. It's a wonder he didn't spend more time down at the bar.

I do not see Trump as an Archie. I see him as Cartman. I do whatever I want. Cartman is extremely selfish and thinks of himself and he jumps at any shot to take advantage out of anything .
