And lets be clear, Trump is ONLY sending the National Guard into the safest areas of the States he sends them in to, where they mostly are engaged in city beautification (picking up trash, planting flowers, etc) to help alleviate the boredom of standing around doing nothing.

They are not been sent in to the heart of the crime districts where a physical presence on street corners might actually deter crime and that is because they did not want them seeing street crime happen in front of them with the pressure then to engage and take on the roll of actual policing which they do not have the authority to do. They also did not want the bad publicity of any of them getting shot.

So yes, for Trump sending in the National Guard is all meaningless cos-play generally.

Crime was on a steady pace down before the NG was sent in, so any claims that crime is down since they came in should be correct.

This is case of correlation though and not causation, which is a concept @FastLane simply cannot understand and gets wrong constantly and has to be corrected.

They weren't available during the Covid shutdown. Can you link up to anything showing that American workers were hired for higher wages in that period? I want the criminals put in jail and the Democrats who run most of our cities to do a better job. Jail the professional criminals and there will be less crime. We can never have 100% crime but we CAN and SHOULD reduce crime.

With one very simple piece of legislation this issue of mass undocumented people flooding to America would be ended.

Simply provide for serious escalating fines (3 step process) which ends in a business losing its licence to operate if they are found using undocumented workers.

Instantly companies would instead utilize the legal application process for migrant workers and thus the impacts of too many in to certain areas could be managed by the gov't by only allowing a certain amount.

Why is it, do you think, that magats and those on the right have fought against this more than anyone else?

Could it be they put corporate profits first and if that means America gets stuck in this cycle, they are ok with that?
