Trump's 'Mission Accomplished' moment: fatso is prematurely declaring victory

Donald Trump’s war on Iran isn’t nearly as far along as he’s willing to admit.

Top intelligence officials have repeatedly told the president, 79, that the Iranian regime is heavily fortifying its defenses and is prepared to wage counterattacks against the United States for an extended period of time, two of the president’s advisers and two additional sources told Zeteo this week.

Additionally, Reuters reported on Wednesday that United States intelligence has concluded that Iran’s leadership is largely intact and nowhere near at risk of being toppled after two weeks of bombardment from the U.S. and Israel.

Despite that, Trump has publicly declared victory in the war he started, telling Axios on Wednesday that the conflict would end “soon” because “there is practically nothing left” of targets in Iran. Notably, the president has demanded nothing short of “unconditional surrender” from the Iranian regime.

Meanwhile, the Iranian regime has shown no inclination of surrendering, despite the death of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, after the U.S. launched strikes on the country on Feb. 28 in coordination with Israel. In fact, intelligence officials also informed the president that there are signs the Iranian regime is shoring up support for lengthy retaliation against the U.S., according to Zeteo.

This is what terrifies me. I’m going to avoid likely targets for awhile. I’m worried about the World Cup!

The Iranian regime is consolidating and fortifying it's power, I think the only off ramp for Trump is to just suddenly declare "victory" and make some vague and meaningless accommodation with the Islamic regime.
He is going to have to make many accommodations after Iran starts their terrorism against our foreign facilities and within our borders. Or he’ll do the unthinkable and finally use nuclear bombs.

Trump's goals are as bad as normal. They change depending on who he is talking to and what he feels in that moment.
Stopping Iran from getting nukes" He ended the treaty that did that. Then he attacked them, saying he obliterated their nuclear construction that would last for years. Now he is fighting against their developing nukes.Saying they are 2 weeks away from having them. They have been 2 weeks away from having nukes for over a decade. Then he is against regime change. Then this is about regime change. Now he says he will approve their leaders. That, of course, did not happen.
Now, Trump is helping Russia sell more oil because his war of choice has slashed the world's supply. But Russia is helping Iran target Americas military in Iran.
How could this be any more of a mess than it is?

Obviously this Neocon adventure in Iraq has everything to do with Epstein files, bad polling numbers, the midterm elections.

Yup. Trump is both open to the last person who tells him something, he suddenly thinks makes sense but also was very concerned about the upcoming Epstein file releases, we have all recently seen where he was specifically cited by a child victim as the man who had sexually abused her, along with his concern over the midterms.

Meanwhile Marco Rubio and the NeoCon's who were always hovering hoping for an opening (including Netanyahu) where they could sway Trump back to the NeoCon path, saw this opportunity and pounced.

Tucker Carlson was very right in a way. He assumed if Trump made Marco his VP then the NeoCons would assassinate Trump so Marco could rise and reinstitute the NeoCon policies. Instead because Trump made Vance his VP, and Vance seemed even more isolationist, the NeoCon's had to wait and try to sway Trump to their side.

They did. They won. the NeoCons have stolen maga back from the America First isolationists and instead of fighting the magats just said 'yes sir' and embraced America becoming the World's Policeman again but going beyond what they did in the past in the ME and elsewhere which lead to the rise of Al Qaeda and labelling of the US as the The Great Satan, as the US wanted to control puppet leaders in countries with valuable resources to benefit the Military complex and NOT the citizens in those countries.

It is remarkable how fast the transformation was from America First isolationist to Neocon. You could measure the transformation in nanoseconds!

He was probably given a dreamy scenario of how quick & easy the war would be from Hegseth. This doesn't seem like an admin that even allows itself to work through any negative scenarios or outcomes.

All ego, no intelligence. We've had some bad admins over the past few decades, but I can't remember ever having such a low level of confidence in our leadership. This President & Cabinet are really a textbook clown show.

If they use nukes, they'll deeply regret the result. This includes even a dirty bomb. Sure, it would fuck us up, but Trump would turn several Iranian cities into glass-lined pits if they used nukes on us.

TBH, it wouldn't surprise me if Donald is the first to use nukes in his desperation to run from the Epstein Files.

Trump has kicked over a hornets nest. He can try to stuff the hornets back into it, but that won't work.

As i have always said prior to this, Trump, in a way did a service. Hillary Clinton RIGHTLY recognized a percent (about 25%) of the magat base are deplorables.

They are the first to lecture others on morality, family values, no wars, etc, family values, groomers and pedophiles, and what Trump exposed is they believe none of it.

NOT ONE WORD OF IT.

Every single position they have and every single moral they espouse is fully for sale to the right leader. There simply is no principle or belief they truly hold to and believe and thus why no one should ever treat them as serious in any future position debates as you know nothing they say is authentic and they may change 180 degrees the next day.

Yes.

I think it is crystal clear Trump would have already TACO'd had Iran allowed it. He was already trying to say it was over, hoping Iran would take the off ramp in the way they did after the nuclear facilities bombing last year. That was the best case scenario for Trump with this time his supporters like @FastLane saying 'last time we "obliterated"... this time we "decimated"... all hail Trump'.

The wild card here now though is the new Iran leader NEEDS to consolidate his power as he was not the clear leader prior to his fathers death. Just one of. So he might require this conflict sustain a while he gets the military people in line. He also may have a bit of a death wish as reports are his entire family was killed in that opening strike. So he may be on a revenge tour and not caring how deep the pain on Iran is as long as he hurts the US too.

He also now realizes that no matter the deal he gets to with Trump, that 6 months from now Trump and Netanyahu may be back to bomb them all over again saying this time they are there to "annihilate", while Fastlane again claps like a seal saying 'yes we must annihilate'.

But yes, i think Trump has people desperately seeking a TACO opportunity and any magic words from Iran will do.

Anyone who supports raping women and children is, indeed, a deplorable person.
