Ok, I read enough. Their sentences should have been commuted at most. Not pardoned.
13 years is enough time spent for a crime committed in a war zone under stress most of us are unfamiliar with.
It's why I'd never be a cop or be infantry with the military and have the possibility of killing someone. Let the jugheads do that.

One GI was trying to get one of the convicted to stop shooting the unarmed civilians. They were lighting them up for fun. These were Blackwater mercenaries who were gunning for sport. Their shocking abuse of power was on the net until it was removed.
