Trump’s taking over the military

FTFY.

Were you born yesterday? It was totally precedented, by every President, ever.

Nope. The Founders centralized all executive power into the President in Article II of the Constitution. Trump never had to do anything to attain that.

Are you operating under the mistaken assumption that Trump somehow rewrote the Constitution and negated Congress? This might be the stupidest thing I have read this week.

Nagating Congress? Really?

Are you retreating back to chanting that Trump is a DNC-style Nazi?

The military is supposed to OBEY orders. You were never military, right? Ask me how I know.

Guess who doesn't know what a third-world autocracy looks like.
Wrong, and the one you site is the head of the armed services

“Trump fires top US general in unprecedented Pentagon shakeup”

Not only did Trump fire the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and several other top Generals, but he replaced General Brown with a guy who isn’t even a full General and lacks any full combat command position experience, both unprecedented. One thing though, the guy never was a TV talking head

Pretty obvious Trump is centralizing his power, negating Congress, reshaping the FBI into his own Gestapo, and here making sure the military is indiscriminately loyal to Trump and nothing else

Getting to appear by the day that MAGA America equates to reshaping America into a third world autocracy
Note to poor anchovies,
Trump already controls the military.

The President is the sole determinant of who is the most qualified advisor and confidant.
Oh that we know, Flynn, Spicer, Bannon, Omarosas, just to name a few, but the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff demands a qualified individual, not some retired unqualified individual who’s major qualification is loyalty to Trump

Amazing how many times the obvious has to be explained to the Red Hat Club, been there, done that, read the thread, if you have nothing new to offer, go listen to your radio
Poor anchovies, Thanks for the advice but I feel compelled to point out the morons.

Trying to deny Article II by quoting something random won't work, anchovies.

DON'T TRY TO HIDE BEHIND THE CONSTITUTION YOU DESPISE!

The head of armed services is Donald Trump.

Trump determines the qualification for an individual, not you.

Poor anchovies.

No, rather pointing out Article 1’s relevance, and the President is the Commander in Chief, but he is not up on the day to day operations the military undertake, especially Trump who doesn’t read briefings, therefore the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is the one who has to keep him updated, and that person has to be one qualified who tells the President the truth not what he wants to hear

A real mirror, not one borrowed from the witch in Snow White

The President is Command in Chief. He is the head of the military. You are spewing random numbers again, ignoring the Constitution.

Poor anchovies.

Apparently you don't.

Trump decides who is qualified, not you.

Actually, that is a primary requirement. You put your foot in it on this one.
Oh yeah, we do, Flynn, Spicer, Bannon, Omarosas to name a few, prove it

And we have seen how good he is at it

No, military serves the country, not the President, it is not his private army

You don't get to determine qualifications, anchovies. Trump does.

Poor anchovies.
Determine, obviously not, judge, yes, and a retired General who lacks any actual combatant command and who has not worked his way up to full General is not the wisest of picks, well, unless you are Trump, and only loyalty counts as a qualification

Poor anchovies.
Wrong, again, last time, the President is the Commander in Chief, but that doesn’t mean the military is his own private army
