That alone will drive up the cost of just about EVERYTHING we buy.
Yes it will help American industry a little , but for us to get to where we have the factories to make the good we import it will take YEARS and by that time we will have had " inflation " so high caused by these tariffs , we could end up in a really big recession / depression and the prices of those goods will be WAY higher then what we pay now,
With tariffs of those amounts you will be wishing for inflation as low as it was when Biden was in office.

Well that tells me that YOU haven't BOTHERED to even actually LISTEN to what Trump has said he will do.
MY point to you is IF Trump even does 1/3 of what he says he will it will be the END of the USA as we have known it all our lives.
Actually listen to what he says and maybe get a fourth grader to explain it to you then you might get what I am saying.
And as I have said many of times be careful what you wish for once you get it and it bites you i the ass it is way too late to go back
