Trump’s worst legal nightmare isn’t Robert Mueller: Meet Letitia James

Odd how nobody remembers Preet Bharara. He was fired by trump BECAUSE he wouldn't drop his existing investigations into trumpco.

This is nothing new, and I cannot wait for next year.

Amen!!!

For the first time in a long time, the approaching new year holds the promise of great things to look forward to!!!!

I'm more interested in Trump and his Financial Dealings. I was always worried that the White House would become a Big Money Generator for Trump and his 'Organization'. I had visions of every sort of person standing in line outside the WH doors with briefcases of cash, waiting to do 'Deals'.

That was obvious since the election run. His hotels were making big money, as he held all meetings on his properties. Once he won the nomination, he was renting space to the Secret Service, etc.

He viewed the election as a business venture. It was really no secret, but it's nice to know that he isn't going to get away with it.

Highly inflated room fees, which event planners attempted to lower.

One thing matters to the trump klan...money. They are so blinded by it, they ignore anyone who attempts to tell them that their crimes are way too obvious, and will not stand up to scrutiny.

Ivanka Trump made $3.9 million from D.C. hotel in 2017

President Donald Trump's daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump made $3.9 million in profit last year off her stake in the Trump International Hotel, while taking in at least $5 million from businesses ...

Oh it gets better.. Ivanka was paid out of inaugural money to negotiate room costs at Trump hotel..

Yeah. That's part of my vision, they all stay at 'The Old Post Office' Building (Trump International Hotel) and wait their turn to 'Deal'.

"Old Post Office’s clock tower open to the public
At this point, these are the highest attainable views of the city"
"Located at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, the Clock Tower dates back to 1899. Until 1914, it was used as the city’s main post office. Afterwards, it primarily functioned as an office building before being nearly torn down in the 1920s and 1970s to make way for the Federal Triangle. In 2016, Donald Trump redeveloped the property into a luxury hotel with restaurants and retail. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in April 1973."

That same hotel was wallowing in debt before the revolving White House door opened for business. There are still $5million in liens from contractors who were screwed by trump.

That's fairly typical for there to be contractor's liens against any Trump property.. He's always screwed over anyone who worked for him.

The blue wave that came with the 2018 midterms was bad for President Donald Trump not only because Democrats obtained a majority in the House of Representatives (with a net gain of 40 seats) and picked up more than 350 seats in state legislatures around the United States—they were also bad for the president because of a Brooklyn native named Letitia James. On November 6, the 60-year-old Democrat was elected attorney general for New York State. And James has made it abundantly clear that after she starts her new job in January, she will launch comprehensive investigations of Trump, his family and his business associates.

In 2019, Trump’s legal headaches at the federal level will include Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing Russiagate investigation, the investigations of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the new Democratic House of Representatives—which will be able to launch all kinds of investigative committees and subpoenas. But the election of James in November presents a different type of legal headache for Trump, his family and his associates: one at the state level.

Another police state supporter. Shocking. *yawn*

What exactly will these persecutions.....er.....investigations, be based on?

"James has said that she plans to investigate the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting in New York City that was attended by Manafort, the Trump Organization’s Jared Kushner (who is married to the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump) and Donald Trump, Jr. as well as Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya and others. And New York State’s incoming attorney general also noted that she will be investigating Trump’s real estate holdings in NYC for potential illegalities."

:(

Will Letitia also be looking into Hillary's multiple connections to that meeting?

"As president of the United States, Trump enjoys certain executive powers—including the power to issue pardons for federal crimes. The people Trump has pardoned so far at the federal level range from Scooter Libby to former Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was convicted of criminal contempt for his unconstitutional tactics against undocumented immigrants. But the key word with the Libby and Arpaio pardons is “federal”: Trump had the power to pardon them for federal crimes—and he has the power to grant Paul Manafort (his former campaign manager) a presidential pardon for tax fraud, bank fraud and all the other crimes he has been convicted of. But Trump does not have the power to issue presidential pardons for criminal convictions in individual states, including any that might come about in 2019 in New York State. And James obviously plans to keep her staff very busy next year."

So, according to Althea, ... Trump CAN fire a U.S. Attorney (Preet Bharara), but CAN'T fire a New York State Attorney (Letitia James).

Well, I guess that is a good reason to be interested in building Trump Tower Moscow Resort.

We are in a Democracy crisis now because Donald Trump continues abusing his executive privileges!

Speaking on just the pardoning abuse, do you remember when the Republicans had their panties in a knot over Obama's pardons of people who were still in jail over 20 years for getting caught smoking crack?

I remember all of my Republican friends all stewing in their own shit and saying, "Obama is letting all the Niggers out of jail" (NOT MY WORDS BUT CERTAINLY THEIRS).

1, 2, 3, GO! LOL!

Someone come find me when they actually stick him with something and punish him. The so called law in america doesn't mean much really. It always depends. The law in america settles nothing, it merely always-up-for-argument defines where the arguing begins from.
