Tucker Carlson hits back at claims he’s a Russia propagandist

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
Fox News host Tucker Carlson opened his show on Monday by trying to defend himself from accusations that he has been spreading Russian propaganda.

The top-rated Fox host has been taking flak on social media and cable news for saying he was "rooting" for Russia in 2019 and, more recently, complaining that Ukraine is "not even a democracy" ahead of the Russian invasion. Since then, he's boosted an invasion-justifying conspiracy theory on his show suggesting that Russia's purposes in Ukraine are to dismantle secret biological research facilities.

Carlson insists that, despite the words he spoke, he is not a booster for Russia.

“Who’s siding with Putin? I haven’t seen anybody do that,” he said on a recent show.

While he is often a target of derision from the left, perhaps the most damning evidence against him comes from his fans; Russian state media.

Mother Jones recently published a selection of reportedly leaked Kremlin memos which instructed government-aligned media outlets in the country that it was "essential to use as much as possible" clips of Carlson blaming Ukraine, the US, and NATO for the invasion.

Tucker Carlson, a tool of Trump and now a tool of Putin. #45 already flip-flopped on Putin and now it's Tucker's turn. LOL

I am sure Tucker Carlson appreciates you two buffoons hanging on his every word.

Double TDS? What a miserable life you two lead.

Without Murdoch money pumping into a failing program, Carlson would be NOTHING. He's just a highly paid useful idiot like his cohort Hannity. If we ignore them, then they lose all credibility and become a financial liability to the Murdoch empire.

Tucker was through. He was booted out of Tv and sitting in limbo until the male news staff and managers were fired for abusing the women on Fox's staff. He was the last one left. He showed Trumpian loyalty and would lie if told to. As Alex Jones said, he was an actor playing a role when he was in court. Tucker is too but has not confessed yet.

What's that saying about "If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, swims like a duck..."?

It is hilarious that for the last 12 years I had to hear how racist and evil this country is, but the minute anyone points out we aren't perfect - look out for the treason charges

I wonder where we draw the line between freedom of the press, and "giving aid and comfort to the enemy"?

The line is when the U. S. is fighting a war.

Hmm. We are sanctioning Russia currently, both as an individual nation and as part of a coalition of nations. We are providing weapons to a country that was invaded by Russia. Russia's leader is threatening both us and the other countries with nuclear weapons and cyber warfare. Do we have to shoot an actual bullet at an actual Russian to call it "war" and call Russia the "enemy"?

You have to actually be at war and prove the press actually gave aid and comfort to the enemy. Expressing sympathy for their cause is not treason--it is freedom of speech/press.

It was actually Putin who made the claim and instructed his propagandists to use Tucker's statements in the propaganda they are airing. Russia sees him as a useful agent to help their cause. It is obvious why they think he helps them over American interests.

How is "why is it disloyal to side with Russia" pointing out we aren't perfect?
