What waste? Keeping an army is a job for the federal govt explicitly stated in the Constitution. NOTHING in the Constitution says the federal govt should be involved with education. You might be able to legitimately argue that waste in the military exist but expecting the federal govt to put up money for education is nothing but waste as they have no constitutional authority to do it.

We can't afford them because the wealthy and corporations have had their taxes cut over and over. Two ways to become solvent. Slash every program for the people is one. The other is to tax the wealthy. We know what the Trumpys want.
