As one Lynch fan to another, would you explain to me exactly what the fuck happens in the middle of Mullholland Dr?

I mean, it's like I'm watching one movie one minute, and a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT movie the next, with no explanation whatsoever.

I loved Eraserhead. I loved Blue Velvet! Loved Twin Peaks...and YES I am familiar with non-linear storytelling, but I just did not get Mullholland Dr.
