WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. Joe Lieberman, a Democrat turned Independent, will endorse Republican Sen. John McCain for president, officials close to both Lieberman and McCain familiar with the plan tell CNN.

McCain is the best of the Republicans.. at least the most honroable and honest.

You think? The way he rolled over like Bush's lap dog in just about everything his administrations done? I personally am more dissappointed in McCain than anyone. I expected better of him.

Who else?

He did stand up to Bush and the Republican establishment on torture.

Yeah, but that's it. With everything else over the past few years, he's come out vocally against bush but then eventually totes the party line when ti comes to votes. He's a p*&&y

TO be the most honorable and respectable of the Republicans running for president is not a high standard.

I also agree McCain is the strongest, most honorable canidate running.

watch this video and argue this with me...

This highlights the fact McCain volunteered for dangerous duty, was shot down, bayoneted, held as a POW, tortured, and then how he refused a offer to go home as a high value detainee, because other soldiers had been their longer. Their is no more honorable a man running for office.

Volunteered for dangerous duty only 2 days after surviving an explosion that killed over a hundred people right next to him.

Paul is the most honorable of the Republicans, not most respectable though, because he's insane. He's certainly an anti-politician though. His complete honesty is what gets him most of his critiscism.

Good point.

Has anyone ever been used like a tool - like a cheap hooker - and thrown away as badly, as McCain. LOL. The Bushies totally f*cked him over. I almost feel sorry for the fossil.

After screwing him over in 2000, McCain crawled back on hands and knees in 2004 and sucked up to bush. Totally subjugated himself to the Bushies. Obviously in the hope of ingratiating himself with the Bush family.

The fact that Romney gave his big speech at the Bush libarary in Texas, with Poppy and Jeb standing shoulder to shoulder with Mitt says it all. The Bush family is backing Romney.

I agree with the insane part. But I definitely don't think he's honest. If he were he wouldn't have voted along side Bush for so long. Before it was en vogue to stand up to him.

now. That's a good point.

now. That's a good point.

Bush Sr. clearly said it wasn't an endorsement, certainly was a good platform for Romney though.

The point is McCain is his own man, and parted ways with Bush on many issues, calling him a Bush lackey is laughable, it's the man reason his candidacy tanked early on, as we look closer though, he stands head and shoulders above the rest on spending, honor, integrity, defense, he's the best well rounded candidate who will do something about out of control spending, uniting both Republican and Democrats to common ground again...

The whole point of the endorsement is to help Clinton. Droopy Joe owes her a big one after she threw a big rally for Joe before the CT primary in '06.

In NH, independents can vote in either primary. McCain's popularity in NH is among the independents. So is Obama's. They're chasing the same voters. This is Joe's way of paying Clinton back. Anything that helps McCain hurts Obama and a direct endorsement by Lieberman wouldn't help Clinton among Democrats.
