The fact that Romney gave his big speech at the Bush libarary in Texas, with Poppy and Jeb standing shoulder to shoulder with Mitt says it all. The Bush family is backing Romney.

I know. I honestly feel terrible for McCain. If he would've just been honest he'd be on his way to being president by now. In 2008 he'd be president McCain. Now he's on his way to being a fossil, an interesting historical anecdote, and no one at all will remember him in 50 years, in 1000 years even most of the documents related to him will be regarded as waste. While he could've be one of our greatest presidents.

Selling out never pays off.

I think it has more to do with promoting bipartisanship, a claim none of the other candidates can take.

Ron Paul opposes everything. That's why he has the modest support of just about everybody except for ideologues. I like him, but I don't think he'd make a good president. A president, honestly, has to lie and cheat like shit to be able to work out everything. Think about Clinton, for Christ sake. He'd comprimise his mother. And what a great president he made.
 
If you think about it, if McCain won the primary he could win the general. In the general, he wouldn't have to deal with other Republicans, and could be honest.

But the one thing that has derailed him in New Hampshire is immigration. Immigration, for Christ sake.

I have a defeatist attitude about politics these days nothing would suprise me now. 2008 is the year I'm going to start investing in foreign currency and wish for the best.
 
Any discussion about Lieberman must begin with the fact that democrats almost put this evil in the White House.

Don't tell me how smart Gore is when he picked this vermin as his running mate.

Liberman and McCain is a tale of two outcast losers looking for a place to call home.

McCain has slightly more integrity that the rest of the republican field .. which is like saying the worm is slightly less slimy than a slug. McCain ran his ass back to the christian right begging for support and they gave himm the christian boot up his ass.

Spare me the "maverick" title for McCain because his voting record doesn't indicate anything other than a partisan loyalist.

True.. but I dont much understand why.. I was in SC when Bush berated this comunist, black child fathering, liberal manchurian candidate...

You dont forget such underhanded statements and tactics especially if your a "maverick".

Why? He knew better and in the process of him selling out we're getting screwed. Feel terrible for the families of the troops that won't have their loved ones home for Christmas or the little Iraqi boy that lost his face due to Bush and his apologists going along for the ride.

I know. I wanted to puke watching him campaign for Bush in 2004. All you could think was, "where's your pride man?"
 
Lieberman genuinely makes me sick to my stomach at this point. I can't believe I once pulled the lever for a ticket with his name on it.

I can't think of anyone in either party who I have a lower opinion of. Maybe Bush, but it's close.

There's an article on the net from a few years back I'm trying to find that nicely summarizes how McCain's fool a lot of the populace into thinking he's a centrist, middle of the road kind of guy. nothing but smoke and mirrors. I'll try to find it.
