1) They are trying to have it both ways.

Many reps want to be able to avoid being on the record, this way when talking to some groups they can pretend they were against the govt. shutdown, while with others they can pretend they were for it.

One example...

2) They are afraid they will lose.

These are both examples of why we need a vote on a clean CR, make them take a position and let Democratic majority rule light the path!

Republican lawmakers are voicing increasing skepticism about dire warnings that failing to raise the debt ceiling would result in catastrophic default.

"I would dispel the rumor that is going around that you hear on every newscast, that if we don't raise the debt ceiling, we will default on our debt," said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., Monday on CBS This Morning. "We won't. We'll continue to pay our interest."

I love this strategy the Republicans are taking....

On one hand, argue that the voters will blame Obama and how its all his fault.

On the other hand, argue that its not so bad.

At all times refuse to comment on anything substantive from the left.

Another dimwitted low information analysis. But what we do knows that never ending continuing resolutions are the result of extremely poor leadership and the failure of this Democrat run Senate to pass a budget for over four years.

But what do dimwits like you know about responsibility and leadership? You give this buffoon of a President a pass on everything because you can't see beyond that pinnochio like nose you have shoved up Obamas rectum.

I'm amused how the dimwit leftists continue to believe that this nacicistic community organizer has nothing to do with the devisive politics in DC. But their dimwits whom the DNC count on to continue swilling the kool-aid of welfare state idealism.

Even more amazing are dimwits who hold Obama blameless. Extract that brown nose of yours from Obamas rectum and get some air into those few brain cells left in your head and try to make some sense instead of a mind numbed partisan robot stuck on stupid.

Thanks for adding the link, Jarod....saves me time....I almost read your post.

So far, no discussion of anything of value. Just slogans and bumper stickers.

Maybe I can help...

Are you for or against a clean CR vote?'

Why or why not?

What do you think of Congressmen who want to avoid being on the record?

Do you think a clean CR would pass?

Against. Just vote separately. Why? I want spending slashed to the bone

Don't care about your other questions

Still holding Obama blameless; what is there to discuss other than what an embarrassing clueless dimwit you appear to be.

I'm amused that you think passing CRs constitutes doing the people's business. I thought it was the duty of Congress to pass a BUDGET every year. But then, since when did the buffoon in the White House and his minnieme dipshit in the Senate give a shit about the Constitution right?

If they don't need govt services, why are they complaining about nat'l parks being closed and the amber alert website being down?

Blow your hot air at the child who is suffering from cancer and cannot get treatment.

Tell Harry Reid.

He's the one that blocked funding for NIH...and BTW, existing patients are being treated. But I guess you knew that, didn't you?
