China is the 2nd largest economy, iis putting a lot of money into their armed forces. They also sucessfully hack into a lot of our advanced Defense weaponry.
Still they are no match for the US, nor is any so called allanice of anyone else in the world.

We take wars to them, they don't take war to the US - the US has oceans, and unless Canada, and Mexico, become adversaries,
we have nothing to worry about in terms of invasions

I also believe you're overestimating our supremacy, russia and china combined could do some shit. Add in Iran and north korea, and they may have something. Now add it a federal government who invites them in to accomplish U.N. enforcement and then what?

the difficulty is getting all those actors to act in coordianation. Russia and China have the Shanghi Co-operaion Organization, a group that uses "soft power". as a counter to western allaince of NATO.

N. Korea is a rogue state, I doubt Iran wants to hitch up with them as the sanctions on the uranium enrichment are already biting into the Iranian economy.

The US wars post 9-11 are an anomaly - driven by the fear factor of terrorism.

The global playing field is going back to 'soft power' - ability to attract and co-opt rather than coerce or use force or give money as a means of persuasion.

The US is lacking in this, and better start to learn this is the only way to maintain our edge - weapons/wars do not make a country strong.

Iran is reaching out to the west, becuase it is suffering economically - the sanctions are biting. N.Korea is irrational. Russia and China are not looking towrds military confrontation, as much as setting up an alternative (SCO) organization to spread their influence
