What our resident idiot posits is a false binary choice. Either combat the virus or swing open the doors and ignore it. He is a moron, so he is unable to think in anything other than black and white. People will not send their kids to school, go to restaurants, patronize businesses or return to work unless they have a high level of confidence that they will not be infected by doing so. In order to do that, we follow public health guidelines with respect to social distancing and wearing masks, and we have a comprehensive, consistent plan for rapid testing, tracing and isolation. Until that happens, it does not matter how much you want the economy to rebound. It WILL NOT HAPPEN. So, wear the fucking mask, demand the Federal Government commits massive resources to develop and deploy rapid testing capability, and follow the CDC guidelines. Until you do that, you forfeit your right to bitch about the fact that the economy isn't open. Because it is your fucking fault. Period, end of story. I repeat, Truth Detector is a moron. We are by far the largest contributor to that record number of cases.

Those are the ONLY countries in the world that reported more than 10,000 cases yesterday. The remaining countries on the list had fewer cases in the entire country than Florida had.

6. Russia
7. Mexico
8. Peru
9. Argentina
10. Bangladesh
The first European country to appear on the list is Spain, at number 14 with 2,100 cases (less than a quarter of what Florida reported alone, and less than five states in the US). The NEXT European country to appear (and they are no longer part of the EU) is the UK at number 30, with 686 cases. Canada, a country with about 10% of the US population, had less than 700 cases yesterday. We had 22 STATES that had more cases than their entire country. And I'm pretty sure these countries have all managed to control the virus without complete economic collapse. Why? Because those countries don't have a knuckle dragging moron as President, and they don't have 40% of the country too fucking stupid to put on a mask.
Europe has successfully tamped down the virus. Canada has successful tamped down the virus. We have not. We are not only by far the worst industrialized country at handling this, but we are worse than many third world countries.
