U.S. says 'pipe bomb' found in home of ex-cop charged in Capitol attack

Absolutely. Why the Speaker formed their own committee with subpoena power.
This theater will be as amusing as trump's tenure. Republicans will cry about partisanship, after refusing to set up a bi partisan commission.

The question remains whether the House will penalize those who ignore subpoenas.

THANK YOU

Methinks IDIOT is being too kind.

No worries. I always do my best to be straightforward and factual**. Some people don't like that, but, IMHO, they're being overly sensitive to alternate points of view or facts not aligning with their perceptions.

**I claim the human right of being an asshole and wrong 10% of the time. I give that measure to others and expect the same in return.

Not sure how contempt of Congress works?

With the first impeachment of Trump they served many subpoenas. McGahn just appeared after over a year. Contempt of Congress was tried as well, of course, with Mr Trump as President and controlling the judiciary.

One thing all Democrats complained about is how inefficient the courts are at enforcement.

If memory serves, they were walking a fine line trying to avoid a direct confrontation with trump and his klan. I don't think they pushed for contempt. In the first impeachment, it was pretty cut and dried re. Ukraine. In the second, I could see the need for testimony from members of Congress.

I think they did issue contempt of Congress citations. Went nowhere. (from memory)

I like this one even better; it's positive. I copied it and resized it downwards and tried to PM it to you but you've disabled PMs.

Thanks for doing all that work! (I don't do PM's I don't like checking email never mind PM's). You could use it for your signature if you want to under your Gandhi quote...just sayin.
