The For The People Bill passed the House, but has not been taken up by the Senate yet. The Republicans in the Senate can block a lot of things.

More importantly, it has absolutely nothing about 16 year olds voting. That is just a lie by the Alt Right.

Anyway, I am fine with 18 as a voting age, but there is nothing magical about that number. There are plenty of mature 15 year olds who read the Economist, and plenty of immature 50 year olds who play video games all day.

18 seems like a reasonable age, but I am not opposed to 16. I just support 18 more than other numbers.

The For the People Act says nothing about 16 year olds voting, just registering to vote if by the next election they are 18.... And if their state approves.
