Far from "whining", Dix, i'm just asking why they won't release the footage in its entirety. You've confidence in their arguments, their assurances of legality, the assurances that they were acting in self-defence. I don't know what happened, that's why i'd like the Israeli's to just prove everybody wrong by revealing all the evidence.
Why would you have a problem with that?
I would concur. The full/unedited video should be released (at a minimum to a group made up of the conflicting parties and international mediators) for review.
I have already made clear my position on the legality of the boarding on other threads, so for this one I will provide my guess as to what happened on board. Note... for all... do pay attention to the word GUESS.
Sequence of events.... (again... my GUESS on number 7)
1) Israel and Egypt make public their intent to blockade Gaza for security reasons
2) A short while ago, the IHH declares its intent to deliver aid to Gaza by running said blockade
3) Israel responds by stating it will deter any attempt to run the blockade and instead offers its port for delivery of said aid which can be inspected and then trucked into Gaza (assuming no contraband).
4) IHH refuses that option and states its continued intent to run the blockade.
5) Israel restates its intent to deny the flotilla from porting in Gaza
6) the inevitable happens... the Israelis disable five ships and take them to Israeli port without incident. The sixth ship, with roughly 600 'humanitarians' is boarded.
7) Upon hitting the deck, the Israeli's are attacked with sticks, pipes and reportedly knives. As fighting ensues between the two parties, the Israelis become panicked due to being grossly outnumbered, despite possessing the greater fire power. They switch from the paintball guns to live fire from pistols. At some point in the melee pistols are taken from some of the Israeli's and used against them. End result... nine violent 'humanitarians' dead, many on both sides wounded.
