US Senate Passes Aid, Public Broadcasting Cuts in Victory for Trump

I support educating people and PBS has had educational programs on it for years but you wouldn't know that and I am sure you never watched anything that has the EI parental label on it.

The bottom line is there thousands of sources of educating people. We no longer need to use tax payer funds to do it. We are 37 trillion in debt. If you want to fund PBS contribute to a fund drive.

Indeed, these far left loons at PBS will now have to sink or swim.

Far left media outlets do not fare well.

  • Audience Reach Disparity: Right-leaning online shows, particularly those focused on topics like comedy and entertainment, appear to have a significantly larger audience reach across platforms like YouTube, Rumble, and social media compared to their left-leaning counterparts.

Challenges
  • Difficulty attracting a large audience: Some sources suggest that far-left media may struggle to attract a wider audience beyond their core base, especially compared to more mainstream or right-leaning outlets.

  • $9 billion in cuts passes by narrowest possible margin
  • Republican-led Congress has backed every Trump initiative
  • Democrats, some Republicans, lament ceding control of spending
  • Public broadcasting cuts could deprive rural US areas of news
WASHINGTON, July 17 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate early on Thursday approved President Donald Trump's plan for billions of dollars in cuts to funding for foreign aid and public broadcasting, handing the Republican president another victory as he exerts control over Congress with little opposition.
The Senate voted 51 to 48 in favor of Trump's request to cut $9 billion in spending already approved by Congress.

Most of the cuts are to programs to assist foreign countries suffering from disease, war and natural disasters, but the plan also eliminates all $1.1 billion the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was due to receive over the next two years.
Yeah that Big Bird definitely was a Commie spy

Yes, he was.

Their news programming sucks, totally biased against our great president, President Trump and all conservatives.

Good riddance to this atrocity.j
So Big Bird was a commie, who knew, so what’s Oscar?

So this supposed news coverage, which probably adds up to what two hours a day on TV and all day on radio stations no one listens to or can even find on the dial, deserves to be cut because it doesn’t kiss up to Trump?

Welcome to MAGA America

Win, win, win, for our great president, President Trump.

Trump did not win in the cuts to PBS. Nobody did. The entire population of America lost...including people on the right and the left.

We will be a more stupid citizenry because of it.

In a few weeks, the spineless Republicans will go on record as saying they regretted their vote...just like so many of them are now pretending they regretted votes on other things.

The only things Trump and his enablers do correctly...are those things aimed at destroying our Republic. That they are good at...perhaps even great at.
