US universities’ faculty unite to defend academic freedom after Trump’s attacks

Postsecondary institutions within the United States, conferred 3.0 million undergraduate degrees in 2021–22. These included 1.0 million associate’s degrees and 2.0 million bachelor’s degrees. At both levels, business and health professions and related programs were among the top three most common fields of study in which degrees were conferred overall and to students across racial/ethnic groups.

More mindless quoting. Pivot fallacy. Liberal arts departments are mostly just indoctrination centers.

Business college usually requires a lot of 'liberal arts' (indoctrination). So does science and engineering.

Yes. The courses directly relevant to their minors and majors involve less hours than than the other crap required. Few even complete their degrees in 4 years, and have to take a lot of remedial courses on stuff they should have learned by 8th grade.

Be careful. You're talking bad about Trump.

The leftists and terrorist lovers are sniveling about having to accept free speech, not the other way around; they don't give two shits about free speech, except for themselves and whatever demographic of vermin is fashionable with them at the moment.

The US Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights on Monday sent letters to 60 colleges and universities it says are under investigation for alleged violations “relating to antisemitic harassment and discrimination,” warning institutions of possible consequences if they don’t take adequate steps to protect Jewish students.

The Office for Civil Rights said that it sent letters under its authority to enforce Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which bans any institution receiving federal funds from discriminating based on race, color, and national origin.

They need to lose all Federal funding ASAP.

Very true. It just goes to show how ineffective the K-12 schools have become...again coming from the university wackiness that drives it.
