Amount: $4,300,000

Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to catalyze long-term systemic shifts in Bangladesh's economy, institutions, and governance structures through interventions such as enabling policy development, strengthening institutions, facilitating technology transfer, bolstering climate research, and catalyzing the scaling of climate actions. This activity will be a cooperative agreement awarded through a competitive process. The total estimated contribution of the mission is $15,000,000, with an expected life of five years, beginning on or around June 2024

USAID does a lot of good work. It makes America look like it cares about those in terrible circumstances. The Trumpys have been after it for a long time because they do not care about others. USAID supplied polio vaccinations to countries that are too poor to control it. It fights viruses in poor lands, some of which could spread outside, maybe worldwide. It builds clean water installations in poor lands. It helps supply medicines to the poor. It does a lot and enhances the reputation of America as it does it. It is 1/2 a percent of our budget.
