Defense never really attacked the allegations head on. Kept speculating on extraneous causes of death.
Having watched the entire trial, the only verdict that can honestly be reached is NOT GUILTY. If they come back with a guilty verdict, it will destroy the justice system as we know it today and put ALL police on notice that they will be charged with murder if anyone in their custody dies no matter how the suspects act.

People can live with that ... a knee on your neck for 10 minutes with 4 Cops sitting on you, not so much.
The prosecution never explained how Floyd could have been choked by someone who has them in a knee hold. I could sit on the back of your shoulders and neck for a day and you would still be able to breath. The prosecutions claims were specious and stupid at best.
The defense made a very coherent case that Floyd died of a heart attack due to the stress of the confrontation and his very poor health condition.
Facts: Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamines in his system. His right aorta had 90% blockage and the left 75%. His blood pressure had been as high as 216 over 180 in the past. He had an enlarged heart. He was a drug addict.
More inconvenient facts: Floyd was 6' 6" and 220 lbs. Chauvin was 5' 7" and weighed 140 lbs. He was a shrimp. The notion that a little guy like this could put enough force on the back of Floyd's neck to cause asphyxia is not only bullshit, it requires the suspension of one's intelligence.
Lastly, there were no signs of bruising on Floyd's back or under his skin and in the muscle tissue. How does one suffer from such a force without a single sign of any bruising??
The paramedics stated that when they inserted the breathing tube, there was no obstruction and they even had to extract the first one to insert a LARGER tube. You would think that if someone were choked from behind on the neck with the amount of force necessary to choke him, there would have been some kind of damage. The prosecution ignored these facts.
