‘Very disturbing’: Canadians flee Florida, worrying business owners

Inflation did not go down when the vegetable was in office. It went up 20% while he was “in office.”

MAGA morons don't understand how the entire world suffered a pandemic which negatively impacted supply chains and disrupted economies.

The US fared better than other modern nations but don't expect any Pedo Don fans to understand this point.

Your toxic (per Democrats) party is on the wrong side of most of the 80%-20% issues.

A new poll by Harvard CAPS-Harris reveals the majority of the country backs President Donald J. Trump and his actions to bring much-needed reforms that are making America great again.

  • Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump’s agenda.
    • 81% support deporting criminal illegal immigrants.
    • 76% support a “full-scale effort to find and eliminate fraud and waste in government.”
    • 76% support closing the border with additional security and policies.
    • 69% support keeping men out of women’s sports.
    • 68% support government declaring there are only two genders.
    • 65% support ending race-based hiring in government.
    • 63% support “freezing and re-evaluating all foreign aid expenditures and the department that handled them.”
    • 61% support reciprocal tariffs.
    • 60% support direct U.S. negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
    • 59% support cutting government spending already approved by Congress.
    • 57% support ending the ban on new offshore drilling.
  • Most Americans approve of President Trump’s job performance — including pluralities of men, women, independents, and Americans who live in urban, suburban, and rural areas — while almost six-in-ten say he’s doing a better job than President Biden.
  • Almost half of Americans believe the U.S. economy is “strong” under President Trump — the highest number since 2021 — while a plurality say his policies will make them “financially better off.”
  • Americans are significantly more optimistic about the direction of the country, with those who say we’re on the right track up 14 points over last month.
  • Americans strongly support President Trump’s effort to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
    • 77% support a “full examination of all government expenditures.”
    • 72% agree there should be a government agency “focused on efficiency.”
    • 70% say government is “filled with waste, fraud, and inefficiency.”
    • Two-thirds say Congress should join the “effort to reduce government expenditures.”
  • Americans back President Trump’s action to protect American workers.
    • 61% support reciprocal tariffs.
    • 57% say tariffs are an “effective foreign and economic policy tool.”
    • 54% say tariffs will help get “concessions from other countries.”
  • President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi all enjoy net positive favorability.

You are copy/pasting a Trump White House webpage without posting the link, and you are citing an old poll that was done in February.

The figures don’t lie.

Jan 16, 2025 — Overall inflation was 21.2% during the four years Biden was in office, with the latest data from December 2024

Overall. I'm talking about how it was trending.

Trump inherited a good situation - just like he did in his 1st term - and he's ruining it.

No one wanted this trade war. It's all personal grievance w/ him - other nations "aren't fair!" and have been "ripping us off!" Says him.

How did your “settle” work out last November?
Trump didn't campaign on a pledge to start a global trade war with allies, he didn't pledge to make Elon Musk co-president, he didn't tell anyone he was going to threaten Greenland or try to bully and coerce Canada into being a state.

Even you were caught off guard by those developments. I never saw you post about them prior to the November election.

We are going to settle in the 2026 midterm elections whether those Trump policies were good ideas.

The cumulative rate from the time he took office was nearly 21%.

Inflation…and the border and crime and the fact that he was a vegetable made him have to drop out of the election.

Inflation…and the border and caprice and the fact that he was a vegetable cost him the election.

That's what I said. You're talking overall - I'm talking trends.

The trend was that from his first year to his last year, inflation increased by nearly 21%.

No. The trend was that it was going down his last term in office, and it will likely increase now w/ Trump's tariffs.

Everything Trump inherited was going in the right direction: jobs, the stock market, wages, consumer confidence, inflation. Now, they're all going in the wrong direction.

Why did he drop out of the presidential election if things were so wonderful?

Checkmate.

Why did he drop out of the presidential election if things were so wonderful?

I'm not going to spend time on goalpost moves. Things weren't "wonderful," but the previous admin did a terrible job of touting their own accomplishments. I mean, Trump was the worst jobs President in modern American history, and 16 million jobs were added under Biden. The contrast couldn't be more extreme.

The point that you're trying to distract from is that Trump inherited - once again - a growing economy, and he is immediately trashing that.

So, it was a “messaging” problem.

Too funny.

If you weren't so brain-damaged, ex-Captain Earl, I'd ask you why overall inflation increased from 2020 and down to 2.5% at the end of his term.

Will you be quoting Trump's inflation figures over the next year or will you be putting your head up where the sun doesn't shine...again?

‘Very disturbing’: Canadians flee Florida, worrying business owners

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) — An estimated 60,000 Canadian citizens flock to Florida each year, including many “snowbirds” who spend their winters in the Sunshine State.
Meh. Did you know spring and summer are coming?
In the wake of a new Trump administration policy requiring background checks and fingerprints if they plan to stay more than 30 days, as well as an ongoing trade war with our neighbors to the north, some Canadians say they’re leaving Florida for goid.
Meh.
“I live here six months. This is my home, but I’m leaving April 2nd,” a Canadian woman named Susan told NBC affiliate WBBH. She wasn’t comfortable giving her last name, fearing Canadians could become targets amid escalating tensions with U.S. leadership.
It's not her home. She is visiting from Canada.
Susan was just one of several Canadians who said they’re selling their properties with no plans to return to Florida.
Fine. Someone will buy them and use them.
“We don’t want to be the 51st state, but we just want to be very good allies and wants things to go back to the way they were,” Canadian Janet Rockefeller said.
Then Canada's dictator can stop the tariffs.
The only thing disturbed is you.

MAGA isn't a person, Sybil. The Covid Hoax was conducted by DEMOCRATS. It is DEMOCRATS that started the current economic depression.
The US fared better than other modern nations but don't expect any Pedo Don fans to understand this point.
Most other nations didn't go for the Covid Hoax and didn't suffer an economic depression.

Sooooooo.... we have one "confirmed" Canadian who says they're leaving?
