Using your vehicle as a weapon is an offense. Fine line? Yes. The road was icy, and that vehicle could have easily hit that officer. Given the icy conditions, it is not easy to quickly move out of the way. It is reported that the shots went through the windshield, indicating to me that it would have hit him.
Sad ending to an unnecessary incident.
If you are looking for blame, ask Walz why ICE was here in the first place.

In a very real sense this is the crux of the matter. Why was this woman doing anything to obstruct ICE to begin with? I won't comment on whether the shooting was justified or not, as the video isn't clear enough for that, but there is the underlying matter that she was intentionally injecting herself into a police matter, ICE or any other form of law enforcement. That's just asking for trouble.

If the agent was in danger of being run over, then why did he fire at her as she drove by him? The video shows that him clearly walking away after shooting her, so he wasn't hit as ICE has claimed.
You can see where the the vehicle hit another car after she was shot by the officer. The cult now things ICE agents are cars.

Babbitt put herself in a situation where being shot and killed was possible. She had the bad luck to run into what was, arguably, the most incompetent and cowardly cop on the Capitol Police force and died because of that.
