SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Vietnam's Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical (BSR) has bought one million barrels of U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery, the country's first U.S. oil purchase in 2025, sources said on Thursday.

BSR bought the light-sweet crude from Mercuria, the sources said. It typically processes domestic crude.

It's not. It's good for big oil and gas though. Oil is a commodity and can be sold to anyone, anywhere, unless sanctions or embargoes are in place. Trump is not only trying to fetter and/or destroy investment in renewable energies, he's busy encouraging American energy producers to sell outside the country. It's like outsourcing our manufacturing, only with a product.
