"It failed twice, and for whatever reason it still failed but was still pushed through," Tlaib said, referring to the three votes that were called during the brief but chaotic procedural move.

Actually, Soc, the two parties of the founding fathers were pretty comfortable discussing God (especially the Federalists). They even spent public funds to purchase and distribute bibles during the 1st Congress.
They were all there to vote to remove them, then left when there was a vote to add them?
BTW - no, there was no paper vote, a voice vote was called. If they followed proper procedure according to the rules approved by the Convention a paper vote should have been held when it "wasn't clear" which had won. Instead they repeated it, until the guy just ignored the rules and declared it back in...
I still think it is funny that at least half the Convention denied God three times...
