His 'inept presidency' has seen unemployment fall to levels not seen since the early 60's. It has seen the economy growing so fast business are having trouble finding enough employees and wages are going up. It has seen the coal industry recover. It has seen the U.S. remove itself from biased and unenforceable treaties that would have harmed U.S. interests. He is quite able to put liberals in their place. I like to call him the Corbomite President.

You call 306 to 232 electoral votes close? 270 to 268 electoral votes is close you twit.
You're looking at the surface. Many of these electoral votes were determined by a rather small percentage of the total votes. Trump squeaked by because the GOP made it harder for people to register to vote and purged voter registration lists. Much of that appears to be fueled by right-wing paranoia about nonexistent election fraud, when it's currently the right performing such fraud, by gerrymandering and preventing legitimate voters from voting.
