Waddaya know, tax cuts for the rich don’t do sh*t

Dead wrong, as usual.

Are you 13?

No, that's your IQ apparently...
Exodus of the richest: Wealth tax is forcing 12,000 millionaires PER YEAR out of France, says Prime Minister as he lowers tariffs for the better off

France waves discreet goodbye to 75 percent super-tax

When President Francois Hollande unveiled a “super-tax” on the rich in 2012, some feared an exodus of business, sporting and artistic talent. One adviser warned it was a Socialist step too far that would turn France into “Cuba without sun”.
Two years on, with the tax due to expire at the end of this month, the mass emigration has not happened. But the damage to France’s appeal as a home for top earners has been great, and the pickings from the levy paltry.
“The reform clearly damaged France’s reputation and competitiveness,” said Jorg Stegemann, head of Kennedy Executive, an executive search firm based in France and Germany.
“It clearly has become harder to attract international senior managers to come to France than it was,” he added.

France Tried Soaking the Rich. It Didn’t Go Well.
A wealth tax and sky-high rates on top incomes didn’t yield much revenue.

The French "super tax" of 75% on wealth for those earning over one million Euros a year was a disaster. The rich left or changed income strategies to avoid it. It produced little new revenue as a result and people who were rich living elsewhere avoided moving to France or even buying property there.

Just because you make a tax doesn't mean people will choose to pay it.

Aren't you the same fucking morons who claim that we can't do medicare for all, or any of the other western european social programs because "fRanCe iS smALleR" so it's not comparable to the U.S.?

France's inequality is a fraction of the U.S. They have free college education, national healthcare, a longer life span, healthier population, and a healthier democracy.

If you wanted to choose France as a comparison, you fucked up, bad.

[h=3]A rather favourable situation for France[/h]On the French side, the relative situation is rather favourable according to some indicators. The Gini index (it varies between 0 and 1, the closer it is to zero, the more egalitarian the country) places France (0.29) below the OECD average (0.3), far behind the United States, the United Kingdom, China or South Africa, the most unequal country on earth.

Okay... Way to change the subject. Couldn't win on the "soak the rich" so it's on to other lies and misconceptions hum...?

France doesn't have "free" healthcare or college education. They have government subsidized healthcare and college. Somebody pays, it isn't "free." But you might note the US is the place people come to get a good college / university education, not France...

As for their healthcare... While it might be government subsidized it isn't as good at delivering a service or quality of outcomes as the US one is. So, if you are arguing that you're willing to accept a lowering of healthcare standards and increasing wait times significantly (as with say the VA system) then I can accept, even if I disagree with, your argument.

There there's this little gem the not-so-free press in France generally doesn't report on because it makes the government look bad:

A few months ago, a police officer, Noam Anouar, who infiltrated Islamist circles... stated that no-go zones in France are now foreign enclaves on French territory. "The gangs operating there," he wrote, "have formed a parallel economy based on drug trafficking. They consider themselves at war with France and with Western civilization. They act in cooperation with Islamist organizations, and define acts of predation and rampage as raids against infidels". He noted that reclaiming these areas today would be complicated, costly, and involve calling in the army.

Classified Report Reveals 150 Islamist No-Go Zones in France

Five years ago, Mayor Anne Hidalgo, the socialist boss of Paris, threatened to sue FOX News for reporting on the existence of no-go zones: territories in France under Islamist control...

But the wall of silence on no-go zones has been coming down. And it is indeed a wall of silence. The existence of a classified report by the General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) identifying 150 areas in France under Islamist control has leaked. That leak comes just as the DGSI busted 7 Muslims for plotting a terrorist attack. The perpetrators were just another of the 400,000 on the Fiche S watch list.

These 150 neighborhoods that are held by Islamists not only overlap many of the territories that had been previously listed as no-go zones, but point to a problem that has is expanding across France. Beyond the suburbs of Paris, Lyon and Marseille, the report identifies areas of concern in Maubeuge, Roubaix, Denain, Haute-Savoie, Annemasse, Bourg-en-Bresse, Bourgoin-Jallieu, and Nogent-le-Rotrou.

France's larger cities are or are becoming more dangerous than any in America due to their lax immigration laws, illegal immigration, and a government that won't do anything about it.

So, don't give me how France is better. At least I've been there a few times, something you likely haven't.

So you completely sidestep the discussion entirely and go immediately to race-baiting. Color me not surprised.

How did I "sidestep the discussion?" I replied directly to your points then added several that show that France has serious social issues, something you obliquely implied they don't have. You stated "France's inequality is a fraction of the U.S." I showed this isn't true at all. The French government hides the massive social and economic inequalities they have by simply not allowing the press or anyone else to openly talk about them.
