Waffle House is placing a surcharge on every egg it sells

Man, I'm just not sure about a lot of those "checks." You sure they're "checks"?
You are sure about the kajillion chickens though, right?

LOL.

The point of the post. Trump, takes action. The Dems blame him for something they caused.... That's your response. Yup. Tell us again about the eggs, man. Tell us all about the eggs and how it is the fault of the "bad orange man"... It's okay... We're here for you.

Stop relying on imports from a labor racketeering shithole, and protect your country from turd world disease epidemics, i.e stop being dumbasses.
Says someone who didn't bother saying ANYTHING while the Zombie President "battled" the disease the past 4 years valiantly and bravely by just killing millions of chickens, but suddenly now it is an emergency caused by the "bad orange man"...

Have I said anything about eggs?

Have I ever used the term "orange man?"

Lazy response on your part. Boring.

I don't think anyone would argue that Trump "takes action."

People either adore that action and talk about Trump like he's Jesus - or they disagree w/ that action. I disagree w/ just about everything he's done over the past 2 weeks. I think it's careless, retribution-focused and short-sighted.

We'll see if I'm right, or the Jesus crowd is right.

You are in a thread about eggs, taking the opposing position that blames Trump for the prices of the eggs... So, yeah... You inferred it, even if you want to pretend you didn't.

Anyway, tell us on this doll where the expensive eggs hurt you!

So they are charging $6/dz for eggs plus whatever was factored into the menu price when they are paying far less.

This sounds like price gouging.

Bandwagon effect. Once one sector of the economy starts gouging with no consequences for price rigging, then other industries pile on, hoping to get ignored in the mob. We saw this with the fake oil crisis and other scams. It;s like a dogpile on consumers by the assorted trusts and monopolies. Then the shills will post their usual BS about 'free markets n stuff' and blame the govt., never mind who really owns the govt.

This is true. Though the point of the post is how ineffective the Democrats are right now.

Trump takes action, the Dems... "But the chiiiiiicccckkkkkeennnns!"

How do you know what I've said about Biden over the years? I haven't been posting here long enough for you to snivel about it, and certainly haven't been defending Biden. Don't confuse your brainwashing and indoctrination with facts. Biden owns as many chicken farms as Trump does, which is zero.

I think you're overplaying that. Dems were wobbled for a week or so - but they're starting to get their act together to be an effective opposition party. They're focused more on some of the bigger stuff, like what's happening w/ the FBI and USAid.

And Trump DID promise to end inflation - quickly. And the Ukraine War. And to make sure women would no longer be lonely. And....well, you get the picture.

I don't think I am. I see an unguided response, and far more threads about chickens than about USAID. The reality is, USAid is just a way for Dems to launder cash to give to "friends"... Condoms in Gaza for gawdsakes... They used them as helium balloons to deliver incendiaries to start fires in Israel.

LOL. What we do know, is that the Braindead idiot's handlers didn't do anything at all but wait until 5 days after the election to try to blame bird flu on your "Orange Angry Man"... Pointing fingers, it is what Democrats seem to be best at. If you want to know what they are guilty of doing all you have to listen is to what they say the other guys are doing.
So Biden's handlers are demented too? No wonder they couldn't tell that Joe's gears were slipping.

Your Orange Jesus promised to reduce the price of eggs even though anyone with more than half a brain knew the problem has been avian flu. Remember the concern over the lack of turkeys at Thanksgiving?

I have no doubt both Democrats and Republicans are more concerned about pointing fingers than fixing problems, but your Orange Jesus is President and has spent more time pissing off our allies than setting up an avian vaccine program.

Note that, according to the link below, the problem isn't LWLs or MAGAts, it's the poultry industry:

As bird flu wreaks havoc across the United States, with devastating consequences for birds, dairy herds, and even humans, the decision not to vaccinate poultry has increasingly come under scrutiny.

While other countries have used vaccines as part of their strategy to control outbreaks of the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus, the U.S. remains on the sidelines, citing trade concerns and logistical challenges.

Is There a Bird Flu Vaccine?

Vaccines for H5N1 bird flu have been available for years and have shown effectiveness in reducing infections and disease transmission in poultry.

Countries like the Netherlands and France have developed and tested these vaccines, with France rolling out a vaccination program for farm ducks in 2023.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are several licensed vaccines for avian influenza in poultry, but their use has not been authorized during the ongoing outbreak.

France itself was declared bird flu-free on December 18, 2024, thanks in large part to its vaccination program. However, it was only a few days later that two more outbreaks on farms were picked up in the European nation, highlighting the challenge of containing such a virulent disease....

...The U.S. poultry industry is reluctant to vaccinate birds due to the potential impact on exports. Most countries, including major importers of U.S. poultry, refuse to recognize vaccinated meat as bird flu-free.

This has led to fears that vaccination could devastate the nearly $6 billion poultry export market.

"The only reason that we are not vaccinating poultry against bird flu is because the chicken companies don't want to," deCoriolis said. "Industrial meat companies rely on export markets for their business model, and they simply don't want to lose those export markets."

This is from last May and covers a vaccine for humans if it jumps from dairy cows:

Should the U.S. need the vaccines, the federal government could ship out “hundreds of thousands of doses” within a few weeks, O’Connell said.

It could have over 100 million doses shipped within three to four months.

Health officials expect that people will need two doses of that vaccine, O’Connell added, meaning 100 million doses is only enough for 50 million people.

Again, given this is a hypothetical, it’s possible the U.S. may not need that many vaccines. But it could also produce more, if needed, O’Connell said.

Trump: Close the borders, check. Bring peace to Israel, check. Get Canada to actually start acting on the northern border, check. Get Mexico to start making sure they have the ability to keep people on their side of the border, check... Start firing folks who thought they'd be able to just drag their feet in Malignant Compliance and keep their jobs, check. Start deporting violent criminal illegals, check. Designate gangs as terrorist organizations so we can take emergency actions, check. Pardon folks, check. Open drilling even in the newly named Gulf of America, check...

Dems: But the chickens! We killed Kajillions of Chickens so the eggs would be expensive, and it's all HIS Fault!
Oh, for pete sakes, let the Dems keep their chickens. It's the only thing their sad, pathetic asses can hold onto while they're licking their wounds from that epic political shitkicking they've been taking. LMAO!

They honestly thought, in their tiny, unimaginative brains, that turning the country into a KFC would be their ace in the hole. ROFLMAO! They were so damn sure that this chicken massacre would be the first nail in Trump's coffin.

But here's the kicker, in just two weeks, Trump's list of achievements is longer than the line for free chicken at a libtard barbecue! Every disaster they concoct, Trump fixes in a heartbeat, leaving Dems with nothing but their chickenshit excuses. They're so desperate, they're trying to convince themselves that 'Joe Six-Pack' gives two shits about his scrambled eggs. Absolutely hilarious!

The reality? Not even the dumbest of dipshits would blame Trump because, let's face it, he's been there about five minutes. But anyone with half a brain knows that the Biden admin fucked the chicken coop harder than a fox in a henhouse. So, shhh, let the Dems cling to this fantasy. It's all they've got to keep their sorry, delusional selves from completely losing their libtard minds.

USAid saves hundreds of thousands of lives.

They may be expecting that the prices will continue to go up and will be slow to raise the surcharge....or it may be that they want to get people to stop ordering eggs so that they dont have to go through the hassle of finding them....right now this is a bad look.

This site says that the current egg futures price national average is $7/dz

And that aid can be delivered through different programs that aren't used to pay for millions of condoms in Gaza used to create weapons for asymmetrical warfare.

First, I'd encourage fact-checking the condoms story. Second, do we really think that the Trump admin will foster those alternative programs and ensure that some of the most vulnerable in the world are getting any assistance?

And that aid can be delivered through different programs that aren't used to pay for millions of condoms in Gaza used to create weapons for asymmetrical warfare.
Why do you persist in pushing lies for your Orange Jesus and President Musk?

  • There is no evidence that the U.S. earmarked $50 million in condoms to Gaza, or that it has recently spent $50 million on condoms in Gaza.
  • On X, a State Department spokesperson said the freeze stopped $100 million in funding to Gaza which included money for contraception.
  • The International Medical Corps in Gaza, which according to information the State Department provided multiple news outlets, would have received that aid, told PolitiFact it has not used any U.S. funding for condoms in Gaza.
