Was it me?
Corporations are not in business to create jobs, but to create profit.
So maybe they shouldnt be worshipped as "the job creators"?
Corporations are not in business to create jobs, but to create profit.
No, it is because of over taxation and regulatory policy combined with union monopolies over labor costs. Corporations are not in business to create jobs, but to create profit. Profit supplies the ability to employ individuals. Cut into profit, cut into ability.
I am not going to get into a yurt-picking with this you over this, but a recall or any other activity involving the citizens and government most certainly is about freedom.
A special interest group AND a whole buttfull of voters as well.
So maybe they shouldnt be worshipped as "the job creators"?
? No one should be worshiping a corporation, nor should they be attacking them. Any entity that needs labor to create profit create jobs. The difference between a private and a public job, is that one perpetuates wealth and the other consumes it.
No, it is because of greed.
But the issue here is american jobs. Jobs are not created here in the context of globalization zealotry as the meme of our leadership, when slavery abroad is the preferred labor pool.
By reducing regulatory and labor costs only minimally, it would make it more profitable to do business at home. 45 dollars an hr to stand on an assembly line is ridiculous. Paying union workers to not work is ridiculous. Being forced to hire the prodigy of workers, who may not be qualified. is ridiculous. These are just some of the onerous requirements of unions towards employers that need to be done away with. Unions need to reform some of their standards and practices to allow for companies to become profitable, in exchange for bringing jobs home.
is it your claim that the left had no special interest groups supporting the recall?
Get out of the fucking 80's dude. The unions are already decimated, it's mostly cheap labor driving this overseas labor flight.
I don't deny greed ( a desire for profit) is a motivator. So what. The facts still remain true. Corporations send jobs overseas because of over taxation and regulatory policy combined with union monopolies over labor costs. A corporation—or any business—that ceases to be profitable will soon cease to exist-
It's high labor costs in the US directly associated with unions- not private non union jobs. Manufacturing for instance were union employers before being decimated by high labor costs and either failing or fleeing- One of the only industries not impacted by union costs is retail. Though the attacks against entities like WalMart show that it's not for trying, by union organizers.

Not reasonable greed (a desire for profit), but excessive greed. Greed to point of it being self-defeating, i.e., killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.
Henry Ford had it right. Today's capitalists don't
Do you understand english? I even capitalised the AND.

I personally think it is good business practice to hire the prodigy of workers.
Prove it...show some facts, figures and SPECIFICS...not just the same lies and talking points you've spouted for the past decade.
Name some SPECIFIC businesses REQUIRED BY LABOR to hire the "prodigy of workers".
List some SPECIFIC businesses REQUIRED BY LABOR to pay union workers NOT to work.
The fact is, if they did indeed negotiate in good faith with their workers for those rights, then corporate has NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES.
