Nope, Trump is shutting it down because he feels Democrats are mucking up what he does best. Amateurs annoy him.Because they KNOW that shutting off the decades long system of fraud and abuse is only STEP ONE. Step one is starving the beast of its food,... which is " money" It cant function without it because it consumes it so fast . Step 2 and step 3 is what they REALLY FEAR though. Step 2 is accountability,....meaning seizure of assets. " Oh,...that 12 million dollar house you have that was paid for on the publics dime.....OURS NOW, to be auctioned off and sold to help repay your debt back to the American people! " Oh,......that portfolio of yours,...yeah,...that's GONE TOO! "
And finally.....Step 3.....Consequences. Yes......there will be people going to prison,...a LOT of people,....well known people. They must pay the price for the crimes they committed and it must be done publicly. Just as in the days of old when the worst were hung in the public square for ALL TO SEE as a visual warning and constant reminder about what happens to people who break the law,... this too will happen but it will be a prison cell instead of a rope. They should feel lucky actually. The days of businesses as usual corruption are OVER. We will be seeing that in real time now.......

Only if that funding is not transferred in some way to allow it to continue, or if the funding was attached to a program or bureaucratic function the school has to continue to do after it is cut.
Eliminate the need for it and the loss of that funding is irrelevant.
Many blue states do likewise. Don't point out the mote in God's eye when you have a beam in your own.

well if you don't have a dept. of education then there will be no need to fund it and there won't be any funds unless the state funds these programs they have now.
And I don't see a lot of red states doing that.

Federal funding of public education amounts to 11% of total funding nationwide. There is no correlation between spending and outcomes in K-12 public education. The loss of federal funds in whole or part would have little or no impact on almost any state, with a few exceptions like Alaska for example.

I absolutely do not think MAGA's are horrible people. I know a lot of MAGA's, I'm friends w/ MAGA's, and there are some MAGA's I love.
I think where we have to get eventually is a place where we realize that the 'other side' wants what is best for the country too. They just have different ideas on how to get there.
