She is absolutely amazing.

The black crows back in her home country that sat and were interviewed and were asking her to come back (anyone see this interview?) were appalling. Saying that women should not get educations, should be happy being subservient to men in the home and to Allah and that any outside interests at ALL were self-serving and not serving Allah. "Come back to us and your religion and give up your outside ambitions. You cannot serve Allah that way, you serve only yourself."

She has not given up her religion, she considers herself a devout Muslim.

How many priests molested little boys? Then watched as the leaders of their church covered for them?

The extremists within religions do typically resort to violence/abuse. Examples can be found regardless of what religion is being discussed.

For generations, "good Christians" believed it was ok to beat their wives as long as the switch wasn't wider than their thumb. They considered their female family members as property to do with as they wished, including rape. Because "God" ordained it.
