Besides, children have seen worse things, especially in movies. They aren't dumb. LOL. Well some are.

My daughter is four so I hope she's not seeing in that in movies! Haha.

But living in SF she's already been exposed to quite a bit. (I'm assuming most four year olds don't get the pleasure of walking past open crack use and having mentally ill people scream at them.)

I've had my shares of experience with the crazy people when I was a child. LOL. I'm sure you have too. That's how we grow up and mature fast.

She was only two so no way she remembers this but I was walking her down a street with multi-million dollar homes on either side of the street. And in the middle of the street this mentally ill dude was walking with pants down and junk hanging out screaming at the world. It was kind of surreal. (random one off story but it's ingrained in my memory)

So living in the City you definitely are not sheltered in that sense. Like you said, you are exposed to a lot.
