war....war never changes or does it in american politics

why is both sides revert to this "war" on each other? claiming the other side is at war with this part or that part of america? supposedly business is war....and politics is supposedly a contact sport...but is politics war? are political ideas war?

has war become a worn out term like terrorism?
 
Yes it is overused...you have war between rivalling parties, rival sports teams, races....all of that is referred to as war. But this will never get old or wore out:
