Warning: BLACKOUTS, Doubling OUTAGES, Decaying Transmission Grid no longer reliable

I saw the other day a headline that a fresh study says that the grid needs $20 trillion by I think it was 2035 to support the the Save the Planet energy transition plans. Obviously no one is talking about how to do it, especially given the fact the economic catastrophe is almost here...there is no way that can happen.

It's the 7 P's. Politicians Preventing Planning Produces Piss Poor Performance

In fact, power companies are for profit. That means they do as little maintenance as they can get away with. They make the staff as small as they possibly can. The management is judged by profit and loss, not how well they keep up with technology. The price is as high as they can get away with.

Okay, let's assume that's all true. Then power companies are all-in for solar and wind because they can definitely gouge customers far more for that than using conventional production. On top of that, they can lie about how green they are...

No, it doesn’t, Walter.

The Grid Needs A $20 Trillion Upgrade To Support Energy ...

1 day ago — Inadequate grid capacity all over the globe raises doubts about the viability of green energy plans, at least at scale.

Poor Walter.

Per usual, you can't get your facts straight.
The article you linked to refers to worldwide grid upgrades by 2050.

Per usual you lied.

I never posted that the figure was for the US alone. It’s clearly stated, “worldwide,” lying pendejo.

Right. Because in a thread about the US grid, when you say "the grid" it must not mean what we are discussing.

And 2035 is so 2050. How could I not realize they were the same thing?

A PROFIT? ... those bastards!!!!

You are just making shit up.

All in? Define that. Our power company pushes EVs by helping pay for installing a fast charger and listing reliable vendors. Is that all in?

It is extremely clear and evident that his post referred to the world. Is English your second language?

You got to remember. They watch FoxNews so they deal in Alternative Facts.

If you ran a power utility, it makes sense to install luxury power generation systems so that you get a greater profit margin. Solar and wind are luxury systems that are costly to install and generate better profits as a result. The same goes for EV's. This is a new source of revenue where you the power company make money, and the middleman owning the system makes money. At $0.20 + per KWH charged, you are breaking even with gasoline. Above that, you are making bank compared to Exxon...

By forcing poor, non EV owners to pay for the rich white lib elites' ev chargers. :palm:

BigHog must live in a really bad area. Probably Alabama or Mississippi. You know, one of those Red (neck) states that have unreliable utility systems because of Republiclowns governing.

Ala., Miss., ... You know, one of those Black States. :palm:

While Joe Castrati lives in a rich, all white lib, gated community.

Can you point to where it was clear in his post he was referring to the entire world? Grooming and woke are not words associated with the entire world.
