If something warrants something, does warrant in this context mean it is a good thing or a bad thing?

For example, he warrants an ass kicking, or she warrants praise for her thesis. Does warrant indicate bad or good?

Yurt warrants an ass kicking. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Commas.. Unless you think Yaya is actually Nimrod who is sexually involved with Yurt you put the commas in the wrong place, Anonymous...

Only if you consider Nimrod to be a real poster, and not a complete waste of space. Otherwise, it's just an insult, as Yurt is a nimrod. A fucking nimrod.

The killer's actions warrant the death penalty.

Good for society not so good for the killer.

But if you are saying his actions warrant the death penalty, then you are saying it is good.

And really, can we all stop with the "left has lost it" thing? There IS hysteria, but if there was every warranted hysteria, this is it.

People give a damn about this country. Trump is an unmitigated trainwreck. It is absolutely unreal that he has been elected as our President and CIC. If you can't lose it over that, what can you lose it over?

This is a scary time for America. I just want us to get through it, personally. I have never had that kind of uncertainty.

Do you think he is "not" saying warranted is a good thing?
