Was Dixie right?

didn't bush do something like that recently?

Bush sounded like an idiot who does not know the English language when in his State of the Union Address he called the Democratic Party the Democrat Party.

Yea...........ummm......right. Made me so mad I almost wet myself.

He also did another bushism lately. Saying something about what he would do to help the violence in Iraq. Not help end it, but help it. A freudian slip I would think :)

I can't keep up with the Bushisms anymore. There's just way too many. My main focus is on the dems at this point and their plans to fix this veritable $hit hole Bush has dug us into. The count so far:

Clinton - out
Biden - out
Obama - strong maybe, but we'll see
Clark - Still a strong candidate
Gore - Good candidate
Dean - Good candidate

Tom Vilsack wigged me out the other day. I always thought he was a DLC clintonesque-triangulator. The Dude went balls to the wall, and said we should cut off funding for the war.

Hey, you may laugh at me, but that is one of the things I love about Bush! I really do enjoy the comedy parodies as well, it's enjoyable to have a president we can laugh about again.... remember Rich Little doing Nixon? Dan Akroyd as Jimmah Cartah? Chevy Chase as Ford? Bush Sr. just wasn't all that funny, and neither was Clinton... but Clinton became more funny after Monica... Dubya is right up there with the best of them, and sometimes, it's not even parody, it's really him, live!!!

Clinton - out ...Never count a Clinton out.
Biden - out ...Probably so.
Obama - strong maybe, but we'll see Nope... Dems won't nominate a black man, they've already said so.
Clark - Still a strong candidate ...who's never won a primary.
Gore - Good candidate ...couldn't win his home state.
Dean - Good candidate ...Yeeeehahhhhhhhh! .....next?

Yeah. You're right, I'm going to laugh at you. "Parodies"? Is that what you're trying to call his gaff? Since when is the state of the union address supposed to be stand up routine?

Well, you can make fun of Dean's scream all you want, but scream or not, he was right from day one. You're blue-jeaned bandit was wrong. Gore won the popular vote. Clark this is true of clark, but I still think he's a contender. Obama is not far behind despite your smear tactics he's not far behind http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/01/poll.2008/index.html, Biden - we agree, and Clinton - depsite her current surge in the polls I don't think the dems will nominate her. She's moved away from her base over the last few years.

I disagree. But, I will make fun of his scream, and he will never win the nomination of the party because of it.

Gore won the popular vote.

Yes, but that was before he bloated, have you seen him lately? He isn't going to win any elected office looking like that.

Clark this is true of clark, but I still think he's a contender.

Based on what?

Obama is not far behind despite your smear tactics he's not far behind http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/01/poll.2008/index.html,

Smear tactics? No smear tactic, just the truth... he won't win the nomination because he is a black man, they have already said as much. Yes... that carrot doesn't look too far in front of him, I'll admit.... duh! Once again, the Liberal Elite are playing you like a Stradavarius, and you are buying into it. At BEST Obama will be Billary's running mate... (if they don't mysteriously find him dead in a park somewhere.)

Biden - we agree,

Amazing, in of itself!

and Clinton - depsite her current surge in the polls I don't think the dems will nominate her. She's moved away from her base over the last few years.

Hillary is the only potential candidate able reach the brain-dead Republicrats like Beefy and Robdawg, and tap into some sort of quasi-conservative base. She is the only candidate with any sort of momentum outside the left wing, and most of that is because of careful political posturing. I don't know if she can win the nomination, but I'll tell you this... I wouldn't count her out. She has the most money, and the most clout going into this thing... and she is one shrewd politician with the best political strategists in the world in her corner... not to mention the Power of Bill...

Let me cut to the chase and tell you how this will go down... The Democrats will begin to have primaries, and Hillary will become the front-runner, and it will become apparent that she is going to be the Democratic nominee.... then suddenly, Lady T, Maine, Care, Desh, Ornut, Jarhead, uscidiot, Beefy, Rob.... you will all genuflect toward the Godess of Hillary, and we'll all have to hear how you justify your changed view of Hillary, based on what she 'stands for'... blah blah... frikin blah! THAT's how it will play out and you know it!

Obama - strong maybe, but we'll see Nope... Dems won't nominate a black man, they've already said so.

why must you LIE like that? Obama is as viable a candidate as anyone. NO one has said that we WON'T nominate Barak. You are such a bag of shit

I have nothing to change....I have already said that if she wins the nomination, (which will more than likely be the case, I agree with your assessment of her perseverence, money, contacts, and will to win), I will vote for her.

I do believe she is qualified to be the President of our country, as much as ANYONE ELSE in the pool that is running.

So, you don't need to include me in on your list! :)

care

I disagree. But, I will make fun of his scream, and he will never win the nomination of the party because of it.

The scream was nothing. It was the media's full frontal attack on him that lost him the primaries.

Oh.I forgot who I'm talking to. Well, Dixie this may come as shock, but ones physical appearance or ability to fill out a pair of Guess Relaxed Fits is not directly related to his ability to govern. There are many unattractive and stout men elected to office.

He's been taking responsibility for this war and calling out Bush's BS from the start, he's got real experience in dealing with terrorism, and I'd trust him over most of whom thrown their hats in the ring to effectively deal with HMS. And at the end of the day I like him. But its really a non issue.

Who's "they"? And can I have a link please?

Here's a good article on Hil. Her political postering hasn't gone un-noticed and if she thinks its a done deal because she's got the funds, she better think again.
Personally, Biden and Obama were at the top of my list at the onset of this year, I'm not keen on electing racists or people that advocate universal healthcare. If Obama tones it down to a universal umbrella, He'll have my support.

Let me reply: there will be no genuflecting on my part, however, once my party nominates a candidate, I will work to get that candidate elected. In '00, I had hoped for Bill Bradley, but stuffed envelopes for Al Gore because he was an infinitely better candidate that Bush. In '04, I had hoped for Wes Clark but voted for Kerry because he was an infinitely better candidate than Bush. In '08, I will withhold my judgment at this early stage, but will undoubtedly work for one candidate or another in the Maine caucus process... and then, after our convention, I will work for whoever we nominate because they will, undoubtedly be a better candidate than Rudy or Johnny or Mitt or NEWT.... and, in any case, I believe that politics is a team sport and until they run away from everything I believe in, or until the republicans embrace more of what I believe in, I will remain on the democrat's team.
