Yup...I live carefully and make sure not to over-spend. I use a credit card, but almost always have a monthly balance of less than $100...and I always pay in full each month. Haven't paid an interest amount in 30 years.

To be honest, there are moments when I regret not having been more prudent with the money I earned...and not working at one job long enough to earn a pension that would augment my Social Security. But the two days I work at a golf course is something I truly enjoy...and it brings in the few extra bucks needed.

I remember the end of WWII clear as day...and I remember the late 40's - early 50's when one bread winner worked 40 hours and tended to the full needs of a family with three kids. Ya don't see that these days.

for the pure profits of globalization.
We compete with the Chinese for our lunch buckets now. world demand prices has hit stuff like food hard.
It's tough to keep a budget

For the record...I do live below the poverty line...but I do not "live in poverty." Many people in America live below the poverty line without living in poverty. We are a prosperous country...and the poverty line here is such that one can be below it without living in poverty.

I have no shortage of food, I have shelter, I have clothes, I play golf 3 days a week (sometimes 4), I bowl, my wife and I occasionally go out to dinner...even to a movie, I have a computer at my disposal. But my total income is below the poverty line for New Jersey.

I could probably claim some kind of dole benefits, but I never would do that.

The difference between "he lives in poverty" and "I live below the poverty line" is huge...and if you are not man enough to own up to being wrong, that is a problem you have to live with...not I.

As for the clubs, I actually gotta get 'em re-gripped. Bigger bucks than I want to spend, but you can only wash them so many times before re-gripping makes sense.

I'll repeat, it can't be good when THEIR OWN rips him to SHREDS! Unless the RW asses on this board can make SUITABLE out of unsuitable and have a different definition of BLUFF. I guess they can take comfort in at least the Washington Examiner didn't call him an incompetent asshole who can't gaslight the country or the world anymore. PS I finally watched GASLIGHT this weekend. I had never seen it before. A movie title and theme that became a PSYCHOLOGICAL reference and incorporated into mental health and political commentary for 60+ years. And we are now living it's PINNACLE.
