You comparing an orange-anized event put on by the president, the leader of the USA & the little man in charge of protecting Americans from this deadly virus to unorganized spontaneous celebrations by unknown nobodies in the streets?? :palm:

If we want to go back to the George Floyd protests you had scientists claiming racism was more deadly than COVID and thus the nationwide protests were ok from that perspective.

Science has said children can go back to school (with certain precautions obviously) yet we have many cities where they aren't because the teachers unions are against it. We're not following science there.

And while the celebrations after the announcement of Biden's victory are understandable how does science say that is ok but you have people complaining about people attending outside sporting events or the Notre Dame rushing the field last night? Science is science right?

L.A. County said parents of USC players could not attend yesterday's game. That's maybe 200 parents who were not allowed to sit socially distanced in an 80K seat stadium. So science says that's bad but hundreds or thousands of people standing shoulder to shoulder in the street is ok?

Leave Trump and Biden out of it if this is about science.

I dunno who those "scientist" are, their qualifications etc... They post here?? We have lots of them it seems here?? I prefer to follow the guys that been around & know wtf is happening-have experience etc. Sorry if I am not up to snuff on your "scientist".......

The implication was that Dems were lying about Corona and they would ignore it the day after the election. It does not exist and would just go away. Just what the Repubs say. Lying comes easy when you do it so often.
Trump totally mishandled Corona. We have no idea how bad it will get, but it looks very terrible.

Eh, NPR discussed at the time and others have written about it. Ultimately it is what it is. We can believe in science but that doesn’t mean it’s application is without partisan politics and there’s been plenty of that where science and COVID are concerned.

And since the 49ers lost on Thursday it gave me a free day today which was nice.

The ONLY reason that the economy was doing great is because of Obama. And then, tRump managed to screw that up.

No one commands Covid19. It is a virus. It will always be around. It is floating in the air. Masks do not stop it. 6 feet does not stop it. Shutting some businesses as 'non-essential' does not stop it and is unconstitutional.

The Covid19 virus is already curbed. It has killed no one. it is the pneumonia that kills. It can be treated. A 3% infection rate is insignificant. Masks do not stop a virus. 6 feet does not a virus. Shutting down some businesses as 'non-essential' does not stop a virus and is unconstitutional.
