Way To Go Obama, Highest Gas Price Recorded in March

Can you cite a "Obama is to blame for gas prices" from anyone (but a liberal trying to prop up a strawman)?

Hey, Tinfoil, does this thread qualify?

Conservatives KNOW the president has little to do with prices of goods.

I guess Newtzi isn't a conservative, then.

Bach-to-Mom isn't a conservative?

Tinfoil has thoroughly pwned himself.

Oh well, I guess I expect too much when I ask for an honest discussion from the likes of Webby and his friends.
the race card is getting old, loser

Then your media darlings (Newsmax, WND, Kristol, Krathhammer, Limbaugh, Hannity and Fox News) need to stop playing it....because indeed they (and YOU) are losers if they think no one is catching onto consistently trying to make Obama a "muslim" or that he's a "racists".

Now, put on your tinfoil hat and go blow smoke up some dumb teabagger's/neocon's ass.....because it's a documented FACT that the President does NOT regulate gas prices....just like dumb toots like you SWORE so when the Shrub was in office. Check yourself before you type, you tin foiled fool!

I don't think the black part has anything to do with it. That he is a Democrat is the issue. The other side blames the sitting president for everything.

It's not a question of what people "think", but the reality of documented FACTS......from the neocon/teabagger pundits and parrots wailing about Obama being a "muslim" or a "racist" to this very day. Hell, you had Pat Buchannan claim recently that Obama's career at Harvard was "affirmative action all the way", in a blatant attempt to diminish the man's credibility. That's an old race card from the 1970's that guys like Pat are still grousing about!

But putting that aside, all the little anti-Obama parrots on this thread STILL can't explain their blatant hypocrisy regarding their previous defending of the Shrub by PROVING he didn't control gas pump prices....much less the other points I previously made....and I seriously doubt they ever will!

More than at any other time in history, oil and gasoline prices are set by a global market, based on global supply and demand.

The price of oil pumped from American soil is based largely on what the world is willing to pay.

Consumption may be down in the United States, but it's growing in Asia, which has overtaken the United States as the world's thirstiest consumer of crude.

And while American drivers are using less gas, U.S. refineries are shipping the excess fuel to willing customers abroad....

I thought the republicans / so called conservatives loved the market? If you pay the price blame yourself, stop your whining and get a bicycle.

Funny, when gas prices were high under George W. the neocons swore the president didn't control gas prices.

Now, suddenly, he does. What changed?

can you explain why oil prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic drilling in July, 2008?.......I have my suspicions, but maybe you have other ideas......

Support your "suspicions" with data, PiMP.

A statistical analysis of 36 years of monthly, inflation-adjusted gasoline prices and US domestic oil production by the Associated Press shows no statistical correlation between how much oil comes out of US wells and the price at the pump.

If more domestic oil drilling worked as politicians say, you’d now be paying about $2 a gallon for gasoline.

Instead, you’re paying the highest prices ever for March.

okay....the prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic production....within two days the price went from $145 to $128....within 90 days it was down to $60.....do you like data?......I like data......

are you sure you don't mean "If Obama had not reinstated the restrictions on domestic production we would now be paying about $2 a gallon for gasoline"?......after all, that's what we were paying before he reinstated the restrictions on domestic production.....

LOL, PiMP.

Oil prices fell $16 in the two days after George W. Bush lifted a moratorium on drilling off the coasts in 2008, a moratorium that was effectively reinstated after BP's Gulf of Mexico disaster.

That moratorium was lifted, PiMP, so why didn't prices fall again, since you appear to be claiming that presidents control gas prices. Or maybe you're saying only white presidents named Bush have this magic power?

you're referring to the wrong events.......please check the link I provided in one of the other threads.....I'm not going to waste my time repeating it everywhere you run to......

So you can't link up? Unfortunately for you, PiMP, I can:

Americans have cut back on fill-ups for extended periods before.

In 2008, gas spiked from $3.04 to $4.11 per gallon in seven months.

It wasn't until January 2009, when the national average for gas had dropped to $1.86 that consumption increased. Drivers bought more gasoline for 23 weeks in a row.

And then dropped to 1.61 by December 31st... cherry picking is an art that is unnoticed in bars but often is pointed out on the board... it appears as if those prices sorta increased a bit before Obama's coronation...

Yet when PiMP claimed that "prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic drilling in July, 2008" you didn't see any problem with his argument.

why would he....that's what the facts show....within four days of him lifting the ban the price had dropped from $145 to $128, kept going down until it got below $60, and it didn't start going up again until February 2009 when Obama reinstated them.......you know, poster who's name looks like a badly combed crew cut, there's a disadvantage to starting eight threads on the same issue that you may not have contemplated......you've just been pwned simultaneously eight times.....I wonder if that's a board record?.......

So why didn't the price fall when Obama lifted the ban, pwned PiMP?

Is it your contention that Bush could lower gas prices, but Obama only makes them higher?

So why didn't the price fall when Obama lifted the ban, pwned PiMP?

maybe because he hasn't lifted it yet....oh, you're talking about the moratorium?.....well shucks....I thought you knew what we were talking about.....my mistake......we aren't talking about the moratorium.........please get back to me after you figure it out....legionette....
