I suppose that's true.Ah sure genius they will die. Tard they won't even get upset evough to even quietly ask for lifting of artificial price supports. But thanks the faux outrage was funny!

Race bait much?Could it be a black man in the White House?
Can you cite a "Obama is to blame for gas prices" from anyone (but a liberal trying to prop up a strawman)?
Conservatives KNOW the president has little to do with prices of goods.

Stupes like Webbie have yet to explain how at present our best export is (wait for it) OIL! Nor can he or his like minded cohorts explain why oil companies need tax breaks when they have been making record profits on American soil for sometime.
Oh well, I guess I expect too much when I ask for an honest discussion from the likes of Webby and his friends.

I don't think the black part has anything to do with it. That he is a Democrat is the issue. The other side blames the sitting president for everything.Originally Posted by Taichiliberal

Funny, when gas prices were high under George W. the neocons swore the president didn't control gas prices.
Now, suddenly, he does. What changed?

can you explain why oil prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic drilling in July, 2008?.......I have my suspicions, but maybe you have other ideas......
Support your "suspicions" with data, PiMP.
If more domestic oil drilling worked as politicians say, you’d now be paying about $2 a gallon for gasoline
okay....the prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic production....within two days the price went from $145 to $128....within 90 days it was down to $60.....do you like data?......I like data......are you sure you don't mean "If Obama had not reinstated the restrictions on domestic production we would now be paying about $2 a gallon for gasoline"?......after all, that's what we were paying before he reinstated the restrictions on domestic production.....
you're referring to the wrong events.......please check the link I provided in one of the other threads.....I'm not going to waste my time repeating it everywhere you run to......LOL, PiMP.
Oil prices fell $16 in the two days after George W. Bush lifted a moratorium on drilling off the coasts in 2008, a moratorium that was effectively reinstated after BP's Gulf of Mexico disaster.

That moratorium was lifted, PiMP, so why didn't prices fall again, since you appear to be claiming that presidents control gas prices. Or maybe you're saying only white presidents named Bush have this magic power?

So you can't link up? Unfortunately for you, PiMP, I can:
Americans have cut back on fill-ups for extended periods before.
In 2008, gas spiked from $3.04 to $4.11 per gallon in seven months.
It wasn't until January 2009, when the national average for gas had dropped to $1.86 that consumption increased. Drivers bought more gasoline for 23 weeks in a row.
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/stuck-high-gas-prices-drivers-pump-15985525
And then dropped to 1.61 by December 31st... cherry picking is an art that is unnoticed in bars but often is pointed out on the board... it appears as if those prices sorta increased a bit before Obama's coronation...
Yet when PiMP claimed that "prices began to drop when Bush lifted the restrictions on domestic drilling in July, 2008" you didn't see any problem with his argument.
why would he....that's what the facts show....within four days of him lifting the ban the price had dropped from $145 to $128, kept going down until it got below $60, and it didn't start going up again until February 2009 when Obama reinstated them.......you know, poster who's name looks like a badly combed crew cut, there's a disadvantage to starting eight threads on the same issue that you may not have contemplated......you've just been pwned simultaneously eight times.....I wonder if that's a board record?.......
So why didn't the price fall when Obama lifted the ban, pwned PiMP?
