Say Comrade, doesn't the "ES" in ES-335 stand for "Epiphone Standard?" So wouldn't Epiphone and their parent company Gibson, be the only ones to make a legitimate a ES-335?

Nah, enjoy it - Gibson is overpriced. Nothing wrong with Gretsch, China is pumping out some good guitars.

Not sure what you're on about. I shopped around for awhile and even considered getting a Gibson ES335. In the end I liked the fact the Gretch copy comes with a whammy bar plays just as nice as the Gibson and cost me way less.

I also recently got a Fender acoustic. The head looks exactly like a Strat.
