He drew a comparison between fire use and fire deaths. Soc didn't even mention guns. The first to bring up guns was Anti Logic.

True, the ELECTRIC engine can operate without fire. However, the internal combustion engine cannot.

And since electric won't be replacing the IC engine any time soon, I guess that means we still need fire.
