The main difference between Pence and a lot of Progressive Democrats is that he follows a different religion than them. Even as an atheist, I find Christianity more palatable as a religion than the faith of Progressivism.

Well, if he had been removed a few months before the midterms, that would have likely resulted in a huge showing of pissed off Trump voters, which would have resulted in a more Republican Congress, so I guess that would be a fair trade. Pence as president plus a Republican majority in both Houses? I'd be ok with that.
