You got to be reading NRA publications, in reality, there were over 40,000 Americans killed by guns last year, approximately 118 a day, to include over 16,000 gun homicides. In addition, we had 568 mass shootings and 349 school shootings. In some States, more people die from guns than auto accidents. And guns is the leading cause of deaths of Americans 24 and under. Keep in mind, those are preventable deaths
We do have a gun problem, a big problem, and if more guns kept people safe, given we now have more guns out there than people, America would be the safest developed nation in the world, it’s not, now 47th, right ahead of Costa Rico and Jordan
