We’re Paying for All of That ‘Free’ Money Now, Aren’t We?

Why is everything so darn expensive?

A deep dive noting that economic minds on the right and the left are coming to an agreement — sure, the supply-chain issues and the labor shortage didn’t help, but the biggest factor in our runaway inflation was “vast amounts of government rescue aid, including three rounds of stimulus checks” — way more aid than the European Union, Canada, or the United Kingdom gave to their citizens — and lo and behold, we’ve got much worse inflation rates than they do.

We’ve borrowed and spent ourselves into this inflation crisis.

It merely means we should ask Academia for Pareto Optimal solutions to our social dilemmas.

Public policies should generate a multiplier of Two or more to promote and provide for the general welfare.

Inflation is, arguably, the biggest problem facing the illegitimate, Fascist bungling Biden regime right now. And yet, when asked about it, bungling Biden offered word salad:

NBC NEWS’ LESTER HOLT: Inflation skyrocketing to 7.5 percent, a 40-year high. Prices still spiking on everything from used cars to gas to food. Inflation now costing the average American an extra 275 dollars a month compared to last year. I think it was back in July, you said inflation was going to be temporary. I think a lot of Americans are wondering what your definition of ‘temporary’ is.

BUNGLING BIDEN: Well, you’re being a wise guy with me a little bit. I understand that’s your job. But look — at the time what happened was the, uh . . . let’s look at the reason for the inflation. The reason for the inflation is the supply chains were cut off, meaning that the products, for example, automobiles, the lack of computer chips to be able to build those automobiles, so they could function, they need those computer chips. They were not available, so what happens? With the number of cars were reduced, the new cars reduced — it made up at one point one-third the cost of inflation, because the price of automobiles were up. So, what I did, when I went out and made sure we started to make those domestically. We got Intel to come in and provide 20 billion dollars to build a new facility. A number of organizations are doing the same kinds of things.

Are you complaining about the $8 trillion we borrowed because of Trump and the Republican tax cuts?

Of course you fail to mention the massive debt run up by the previous administration which we are also paying dearly for.

Covid stimulus was necessary to jump start the economy, if it hadn’t pass, you’d be crying now about a stalled economy, and, the Infrastructure Bills were passed with bipartisan support. Did they inject too much money into circulation, probably, but once supply catches up bar any corporate greed, inflation will subside

Is that so, Anchovies?

NBC NEWS’ LESTER HOLT: When can Americans expect some relief from this soaring inflation?

BUNGLING BIDEN: According to Nobel laureates, 14 of them, that contacted me and a number of corporate leaders, it’s ought to be able to start to taper off as we go through this year. In the meantime, I’m going to do everything in my power to deal with the big points that are impacting most people in their homes.

It seems apparent to me that he just rattles off whatever his handlers tell him most of the time, and "Doctor" Jill rewards him with ice cream if he doesn't shit his pants on camera again.

without a doubt. just repeat whatever the earpiece says

wonder who his imaginary Nobel laureates are ?

It is just going to keep getting worse....they have no idea what to do, and are not at all aware of how dangerous this is.

We are lead by very unimpressive people now, who seem to have sold Americas soul to China.

Nor is bungling Biden the only national leader whose language becomes gobbledygook on the topic of inflation.

Louse speaker Nasty Nancy Pelosi contends that a ten-year, $3 trillion spending plan is what is needed to reduce inflation, and stated that low unemployment causes high inflation.

That assessment does not align with the evidence of the U.S. economy of the past six decades or so.
